Lost my indoor op recently, which means I'm gonna have a bigger outdoor season. I have a few spots I've decided on, one of which I found last season. The mosquitos are really bad there. Lots more of them, and they seem to be a lot tougher than what I'm used to.
Usually I can get away with a light jacket/hoodie and pants, but these fuckers will bit through 2 layers of clothing, so even when I double up on pants and wear a jacket, they still get me pretty bad.
Last season the only way to protect myself was to either wear a heavy coat, or to make an outfit out of contractor trash bags cause they can't get through that. But the winter coat gets extremely hot on summer nights, and the contractor bag outfit makes a lot of noise, and the spot is close enough to people that I don't like risking the noise.
Anyone have a similar problem they've found a solution for?
I've used deet type sprays but these things seem immune to it.
I know a mosquito mask is real effective for the face area, but the mesh type mosquito net clothing only seems like it would work as long as it's not in direct contact with your skin, which is not possible while working. Looking for something tough enough they can't penetrate but not turn me into a sweat factory.
