How do K9s respond to animal urine?

Anyone know how K9s would respond to wild animal urine (like wolf urine)? You can buy this stuff online.

my fav review:
One is immediately drawn to this vintage by the colour, which is an elegant, pale straw hue with an appealing peachy fruit on the nose. It has an incredibly effervescent bead -- the whole glass teams with bubbles -- culminating in a frothy layer at the head.

The palate has panache, with a firm, mineral acidity that cuts through a rather elegantly styled, poised meaty presence. As with most Chateau Deerbuster products, this has the signature leafy-fresh character, which softens into a slight rancid feel towards the end.

Even though it has a rather short and crisply defined finish, I still believe this has the composition and acidity to age well in the cellar of any self-respecting urine connoisseur.

If you have ever walked your dog and it stops, sniffs, and wants to spend time in an area it is because he smells urine. It is what they live for.

While true, I imagine the K9 in 'drug detection school' who cannot get past this is failed.

Seeing eye dogs who cannot ignore distractions are failed. Drug detection dogs/seeing eye dogs are the cream of the crop.... anything 'we' can think of to 'throw' a dog off is probably already implemented in their training.

Barry cooper mentions this in one of his videos...

I have no experience, but the thing that jumps out at me, is that if the dog is suddenly mad interested in the vehicle because of the urine, the officer can play it off as though the dog is alerting to drugs.

I think in the same video, Barry goes on to describe how k9 officers routinely manipulate the dog's response to indicate it has alerted to drugs.

So like, perhaps the urine will distract the dog, but I imagine it would make the cop insanely suspicious, to the point where they would call in the warrant under the pretense that the dog was "interested" in the vehicle or just straight lie and say it hit for drugs... And right there on the dash camera will be the dog all sniffing the shit out of the car cause of the urine, and if the dog reacts as intended, it will simply not look normal, and thus I believe the warrant request would hold up even under strong review.

Like said, this isn't my thing, so take all this with a grain of salt, but there's my thoughts on the matter.

good drown

in the barry video he mentioned road kill would make his dog act weird and he would have to drive a few miles away and then search the vehicle. he also mentioned having a cat, i think that is perfect, even if they remove the cat, its hair is still all in your car

Is no one else slightly disturbed by the urine review? Sounded like he was talking about a beer right up to the piss part!

Seriously speaking, military grade CS gas comes in a powder form and is quite debilitating in small quantities to humans even without burning it. I wonder if an extremely minute amount sprinkled into the carpet would deter the dog? Keener senses = more pain, possibly less susceptible to being perceived by the cops? Just musing here. Even the smallest whiff of that stuff will send the average person running for water.

You fuck with a K9 and you will have much more to worry about than some weed in your car. They are cops just like their humans. Wrong direction in my opinion.

Sometimes their is too much effort looking for a way out of a "brought on by my own stupidty" situation and not enough thought into "Dont get pulled over only break one law at a time."

I was just in a zoo with 35 Tigers in it.......and we were allowed to get close to some of the younger ones and were told that if a tiger pissed on you it would take 3-4 days to get rid of the stench even if you showered regularly....

I wonder how K9's would react to Tiger Pee.?......lol

....and would it prevent most animals from entering an area you did not want them to enter if you sprayed the perimeter with it?

I think that police dogs, or any dog raised outside of Africa or a zoo with lions, would not be prevented from going into an area as a result of smelling lion urine. How would it know that it was a lion or that a lion was something to be feared? Not sure if that is inherent knowledge or learned knowledge, but I suspect it must be learned through experience or observation.

In the videos Barry Cooper mentions wolf pee. Now I am not sure if there is some reason wolf would be better than dog or not, but it is interesting to think about.
