Or do i fill the 13 rez with 13 gallons of water and call it good? so confused?
Hey there! I have the same set. What I did is follow what Hempyhedgehog ran his. Do a search on his he has a raely good way of setting the hole thing up. I run my air pump 24/7 helps to oxygenate the water amd roots, dont worry you wont overwater them. I have several of those 1/2 plastic valves between the top res. and the bottom controler so I can turn it off and mix my nutes full stg, I do 8gl at a time and onep the valve and it goes right to the plants. I do that four times some I knoe that all plants start out with full stg nutes.Then I close the valve between the res and contoler mix 12 gl (which will fill the res right to the top) with like 1/4 stg nutes. I do this tell everything is leveled out and toped off. From here on out fill with just plain water (ph ballanced ofcoarce) I have streched out res changes for 10 to 14 days before 
There is a few mods that you'll need to do that will help LOTS one for sure is drill lots more hole in the bottom of the upper bucket. Theres not enough so root rot was a problem. Once in a while the "y" juntion where the air blows the water up the drip ring, you'll notice that the drip ring is slowing down, its the salt build up at that "y" so you have to very carfuly clear back some rocks and pull that tube out and clean it with a toothpick works good. Any questions let me know they relly work great. I even bought a inline water pump so I can eather drain parts or all the system .
