how do i seal a crack on my ez cloner?

i have a real annoying crack on my ez cloner and epoxy glue isn't working to seal it. the epoxy is good for clogging a hole not really sealing a crack. its right at the top of the cloner where the plug slips out. can someone recommend a product that would work to seal this? i was thinking about trying plastic cement what do you guys think?

A picture always helps buddy ;) .. How big is the crack? A plastic welder might be the best.. but I know its probably a bit expensive.. But those easy cloners aren't cheap either.. If it is above the water table and only getting a misting a plastic cement should work.. Might look-up the exact plastic of the cloner to make sure you get the right cement for the bond.. And maybe make sure it safe to repair drinking water lines... just to be sure it doesn't leach any chemicals that would inhibit cloning... Hope this helps a lil.. DJSF

I'd use silicone caulk, it is water safe so it wont leach and kill your cuttings. I'd only use products geared for aquariums or plumbing.

i was just reading about silicone caulk and it sounds perfect for what I'm doing plus it seems easier than dealing with that welding kit. i think il give that a try unless anybody objects?

Yep.. Silicone..That would def be the best bet.. I mentioned the welder before I looked at the pic.. At least the silicone is a cheap fix and its not that big of a crack... and it doesn't hold any real weight from the water.. Good luck. DJSF

First things first do a drill stop by drilling a small hole at the end of the crack so it can't grow more . If it where me I would do that and then plastic weld using My soldering gun . That's basically all a plastic welder is and I have used it before to repair tons of cracks in all kinds of plastic and it works great if you are smart and don't go on making more damage.

making that hole is a good idea.i think I'm gonna try the silicone caulk or the aquarium silicone first and if that doesn't work il try the welder. thanks for the info

i say the combo of of tips of drilling the end of the crack plus silicone will put you back in business. you may have to reapply but you could limp that along for years. i would even suggest temoving caluk amd reapplying each run so as not to harbor ickyness in the blob. should scrape off easy and if you keep the tube clean and in good shape you could probably get years out of one tube.
