I am wondering if anyone has ideas on making a 250gal+ container or a smartpot. I'm considering ordering a 300 gal smart pot for my indoor grow so any help is much appreciated. I figured you all the most expertise as far as big pots go.
why a 300 gal smart pot inside..... can u explain... if u want a raised bed you can buy rasied bed smart pots in any size almost.... i have a freind who had 4 4x30ft 18in deep in a 25x35ft room with amazing results.... soild 1.8 2 lbs a 1000w and he reused his soil mix which was 50%coco 25%silca rock or pumice stone and 15% perlite and 10% happyfrog he would harvest everything pull the root balls shake them out feed 2x strenght enyzyme like hygrozyme then add a bio inocculant let sit for 5 days then till it inside with electric mantis tiller...... wait 2-3 and plant.. it was a crazy effeincent setup ...... one thing i do not like about indoor is the constient soil buys.... with a setup like this it would fix that.... as i myself use 5-7gal bins inside depending on size of room...i has thought maybe empty the bins all outside on to a tarp spray with enyzyme and let them sit in the sun for a few days stiring and tilling them then add a little extra and plant agian.... anyone else ever try this
by the way i would go buy 3ft tall weld wire fencing..... cut 12ft lenght for 120-200 gallon and 14-16ft lenghts for 300+ gallon... then cut the fencing long was making 2 18in x 12-16ft lenght... now use some bailing tine or tie wire and tie them in a circle..... you can now buy 3ft or 4ft wide landscape fabric.... aka weed blocker... LOL and just cut it same lenghts plus 4in and drape over the top and fold under the bottom and use the wire agian to mend the seem..... the side of the fencing long ways that you cut will end up having raw edge wire sticking out which is good for the fabric to fold through and stake into the ground to keep the pots shape..... some people use stakes but i have not found a use for them and i have 300 gal on a small slope with out problems.... SO FAR
Those were good instructions. I had to read it twice but they make sense. Good stuff. I'm going to making one soon. Why you ask for indoor? Good question well the thing is I am exclusively an indoor grower. Outdoor wasn't something that appealed to me since I was never planning to grow more than a few plants at a time. Here it might get a little chilly around the first week of october not to mention the out of climate weather we always have however I started 8 8-week seeds yesterday for outdoor. I plan for about 4 plants, already have a plot prepared. I don't plan as much TLC for the outdoor since the plot is so far away so thats why I'm going to grow a monster inside. I simply wanted to have at least a cubic meter of soil-less. Thanks for the help I will be making a rectangle 5' x 2.5' x 2' so 2.77 cubic meters for my indoor.
