hey all i have just put my plants into flower and there in a 6.5x6.5x6.5 grow tent with two 1000hps bulbs. so i know i have enoff light for my girls.....but my question is how can i keep the plants for stretching to much?

i know the plants will stretch even double in length.. but i kinda let the plants grow a little to long there over 2 feet tall from the soil to the top branch. i dont mind if they get up to around 5.5 feet tall .. but i know i need to leave room for my hood and a little room between the budes and the lights so they dont get burned...

i know there was a product called bush master to help controll stretching but it was banned because of pgrs i belive.. are there any products out in the market that could help me keep them from strechting to much.. or is there anythign i can do with out having to use any additive to keep the height undercontroll?

The answer to your question is not found in a bottle. It is found in your techniques. Please keep those PGR's on the store shelves instead of your grows.

Trying to avoid pgrs doesnt mean 100%. Now if you said im going to avoid pgrs thats another story. there is no magic bullet. just good old fashioned work. maybe you can try pinching but all you really have to do is gently bend branches.

from the exact words that u said in the first post, it could be taken like well if theres nothing then i have to resort to pgrs. now i know you are "trying" to avoid pgs, but instead of trying, you should just avoid them 100%.

well that was my intention .. i just did not know if there was any product that would help prevent the stretching or even just cut the stretching down a little that did not use pgrs...

5th post i stated that was what my intentions was.... to avoid using pgrs..... i did not knwo if using like a high level of a certin element like high nitrogen, wich i know nitrogen would no do that but was wondering if something would...

and last time i check trying to avoid something ment to stay away from what ever you are trying to avoid.

6.5*6.5=42.25
2000/42.25=47.34wpsf

No... you don't have enough light. Full indicas do 'decent' at around 50-55wpsf... so if your genetics are full indica, you might get close to 'decent' bud with that much light. I'd say it's going to be a tad fluffy and stretch a bit more than it should.

New lamps will also cut down on stretch. :)

Keep it Clean! :D

opps i know this does not make probly any diff but i have my lamps on boost mode.. wich adds 5%.. so im pushing 2100 watts of light
2100/42.25= 49.70 wpsf... i forgot that i had them on that mode.

Stretch is very strain dependent. Perhaps somebody who's grow Panama will chime in about the stretch, or go to the thread in the Ace or Cannabiogen section for more info. I suspect it'll stretch rather strongly. The other, dunno.

You can either deal with the situation as it unfolds with bending or pinch the tops now to head off problems. I hate to do that, myself, but it might be the smart answer. Open up the growing point, take the smallest part you can manage if that's what you decide.
