Its the bomb. Cheap and it really helps out in the last few weeks of flowering.
How is this administered? how much molasses to to how much water? how often do you do this in the final weeks?

Start with 1 tsp and work your way up to a tbsp per gal. But it's not "critical" that you use it, just helps some. Every other water. Read the plants, some will be happy with it every watering. Start low and slow. :)

I use around a teaspoon or a lil more per gallon. I use it with every feeding and watering in the final weeks. I use final flush my last week so dont use molasses then. You can also just use straight molasses with plain water to flush for the last two weeks. I dont think that method will fully flush your plants though.

My question is'

What does it do'

I use Gauno' and some flower nutes and a little phito-mine and algae'

What would adding the molases actually do'

How does the plant use the raw sugars'

Motumba'

Not one to follow the crowd there has to be reason for everything' :joint:

Well, if you have another watering left on your plants add the Mo with the water at 1 teaspoon per gal. It will be instantly transported to your buds and make the taste much, much better.

So I take it that the most critical time to use molasses is about the 5 week of flowering for the carbs synthisis to really take effect on the buds..........sweet.....Does molasses also effect the taste of the crop making it expose there natural flavors or is that just in the curing process?......

i use it throughout the plant life. just mix it with water til it tastes good. but not too sweet ya know. the plant can only process so much so adding too much would be wasteful. even though its cheap, no need to waste it. thats just what i do the ladies seem to love it.

Though out the plants life meaning from vegging to flowering? or u just use it for ur flowering......Also does it boost the natural flavors of the particular strain ur growing? or does that only happen during the curing process?? Thanx for responding.... :lurk:

i mean throughout life. vegging and bloom. i use moasses in compost tea and add it to water whenever i water. i think there is a certain kind carmel flavor when its used. the reason i keep using it is that it is food for important microlife in the soil. keep the microlfe happy, they keep the plants happy, you get happy :) as far as boosting the flavors, well... i guess it does. my plants are all the sweeter because of molasses but indirectly. i mean, the molasses helps microlife which aid in making super sweet organic ganja. just use it. you wont be sorry. :)

as usual chubby is dead on, it wont do any good during a flush since the molasses actually feeds the "microbeasties" that eventually help the plants nutrient uptake/ brake down go alot smoother making all of nute available to the plant. because molasses is mainly use for the conditioning of the soil and not the plants directly i too use it throughout as swampdank mentioned, from veg until the last couple nute waterings. i plan to stop using the molasses a week or two before i give the chop, so the nutes aren't too available.

I am about a week or two from harvest and was curious if it would bennefit me to pick up some molasses before chopping down. If it is a good idea, where can I pick some up and which kind should I get?

I wonder why molasses is typically added at the end of flowering? It doesn't seem like molasses' benefits would be limited to this time period.
