how come theres no images of purple clones on icmag?

marijuana plants can be purple, so logically I'm guessing that you can clone a stem with purple leaves. sounds like a good way to buy purple

whats the science behind purple clones? if it grows, does the plant turn green under warm conditions or will it change colors?

edit: purple comes out during bloom, not veg and the clones require warm conditions to root, so i don't think purple clones are possible.. sry

Purple can mean a few things, but healthy new veg growth is green.

because.. cannabis is a plant.. that's GREEN .. the bud may be purple.. and u might get purpling of leaves in FLOWER. but while a cutting I have yet to see a plant grow purple leaves.. more like leaves fade out to purple later in flower. or with certain ph issues.

I'm pretty sure a clone from a purple plant during bloom will retain some purple. are you saying a cutting from a purple plant with purple leaves will turn green during cloning? when i get my ac ill experiment with purple clones

Larry the color comes on most plants as a reaction to its life coming to and end. Clones should be green. turning down the temp to low on veg plants will result in light green/ almost bleaching on top growth.

Purpling of plants is caused by excessive anthocyanin (sp?). Anthocyanin is produced by plants typically as a result of cold temps. Anthocyanin is like antifreeze for plants.

Some plants are naturally purple but all veg w green leaves.

Anthocyanin, extracted from red cabbage can be used for pH testing. Look it up.
