Hey guys, having some issues with my plants trying to figure out the problem so i can correct it.

I got a cooltube last night set it up, temps are good was at 75 F pretty much all day... I got it about 12 inches from my plants, I can hold my hand there with no discomfort.. hell i can hold the back of my hand on the cooltube with no discomfort... is 12 inches to close?

Light can not be too close. It's heat you need to worry about. If you can keep it cool enough, you can place the sun inches from your plant.

If your hand is OK, I'd say there's no problem. How big a lamp?

400 watts.... I dunno wth the problem is... its the homebox, Ive grown in there before tho with no problems and no cooltube.. this is what most of my plants look like right now

Like 2 arn't drooping.. i dunno I water before lights out, lights have been on for almost 2 hours now.. They were all fine in the clonebox, temps are a few degree's lower in the homebox... so i dunno Im gonna give it a few more hours and then Im gonna move then back into the clonebox under the 200 watt clf and see what happens...:badday:

Is that soil you're growing in? How often are you watering?

its sunshine mix #4 and i watered them the day before when the lights came on, when i first saw they were all drooping i checked and the top was a lil dry but the cups still had a lil weight to them... i dunno but I watered them a few hours before the lights went off, they sat for 4 hours in the dark, lights have been on for 2 now and they are still drooping... this is my first run with soiless mix, i did hydroton last time..

Could the fact that Im pulling 400 cfm through my homebox have anything to do with it? Thats like the only difference I can think of, the homebox and clonebox are made out of the same stuff, ran them both before... Ive ran bluecheese with the same fan and no cool tube in there tho... so i dunno

umm slide it out of the cup and see if the bottom is all muddy. by that point the roots will hold the medium together for you. A cup of that size should not feel like it weighs more than an ounce or so. if it feels like there is "weight" you're probably depriving the rootzone of air. DOes that container drain? I would probably transplant at that size anyways.

A naked 400 shouldn't be hung higher than 12 (if that). In a cooltube, I'd think 3-4 inches would be fine. I can't see this as your problem. Not a soil guy so, I'll leave you in the hands of those more experienced than I.

well i did as lysol suggested and took it out of the cup to check the roots, it came out cleanly there is no mud... there were lots of roots... the ring of roots at the bottom of the cup are not white tho.... I think thats just a lil staining from the floranova tho.. the cup has 4 holes on the sides and 1 in the middle it drains.. I've been watering every other day.. i really cant see it being root rot... Im going to transplant them tomorrow... and its not soil freezerboy its soiless mix, your sposta treat it like hydro.
