How can I get my plant looking better?

So this is my first grow and I have been messing around with stuff and when bending the plant to try to keep it somewhat small I think I did it prematurely. This resulted in the plant being very small and not really seeing anymore growth.
I adjusted Ph recently and lowered lignts and saw the newer leaves begin to grow more rapidly and to a more acceptable size compared to the miniature ones up until then.
Should I try bending it back up straight, bend, prune? Idk

What do you suggest? Tossing is not an option as it is to prove a point with a friend about growing with non advanced nutrients lol.
With that said, I am trying organic super soil. Could this be what lead to the stunted growth?

Just by looking at it the soil does look a little dense too me, but I find myself saying that too often... Maybe I'm weird... Also by looking at it and trying a few "super" soil recipes, I would conclude the soil is also fairly hot which is also not probably helping a ton.

I find that it is best to try veryhardnot to stress plants when they are smaller than the container they are in.

The biggest stress I see people induce is overwatering. Especially in a dense medium like that it could take a week or more for the plant to drink a heavy water... And in that time the soil could fluxuate very far out of ideal range... That is why I like to use a smaller container with less feed and higher drainage so I can cycle faster with a smaller plant... Feed every day will out perform feed every third day....every time...

The combination of these elements has already given your plant a tough hand, and you have compounded that slightly by training and topping the plants spreading its energy out a bit...

Good news is is it still looks relatively healthy and will respond well to a serious change of mentality...

If your trying to prove organics over advanced you need to go low stress and play up all the tricks to make your plant a super plant....

First is foliars and humidity, try to keep humidity in veg up past 60%... Use a plastic bag as a tent if need be.... And before any water, spray a light misting of kelp or fish or calcium water made by soaking oyster shell in water. Neem or other oil based sprays can also help plant with humidity by coating the leaves a bit. Raising the salts in the leaves helps them take in more salts in the roots as well.... And some nutrients that may be locked out by strong levels in your soil will be more available through the leaves...

As to watering/feeding... For a plant that size in that container.... I would literally be pouring about 1-3 ounces of liquid around in a circle about two inches from the stem.... It was brought to my attention by one much wiser than me that milk at 1/6 ratio to water can help tie up excess food in the soil... So does humic acid I think to some extent...

Do not water more until the plant starts aggressive growth and can easily consume all that is given in 2 days... 3 max or your going backwards....

Slam the light... As soon as they start to go raise it to encourage stretch to exaggerate the superiority to advanced... High humidity and light make big leaves and stems that make big flowers, stress and slow growth/training make much work, long veg's and more tighter flowers in smaller space... Both. Work... One is fast n easy..

From that pic the only thing I can tell is the pH looks to be too low. You said you adjusted pH, to what from what?

Maybe another pic from the top would be useful. It does not look too bad, def don't toss it. We will get it going and show your buddy what's up haha

dont touch it. dont bend it. & dont over water it. pretty big container for such a small plant. you def want the container to dry out. but in your case use the "stick a finger in the dirt test". your plant looks like its focusing on growing roots. which is a great thing.

As far as the ph goes, I noticed my runoff was over 9.0! I Ph'd down and that I believe is what has made the biggest change as now leaves are growing at a normal size.

As far as the pot is it worth repotting? I don't want to stress it any further and delay this anymore. The time I have been trying to get this thing to work has been very long.

As far as the bending goes, that's basically what I wanted to accomplish, but moving forward I think I will wait before it begins to branch out more instead of it struggling to do what it's doing.

I can't thank you guys enough for your quick advice. You rock!

What you may consider then....

top the plant.....then wait for some side branching......

then bend it over.....

By then the hormone required to maintain apical dominance will have dissipated...

more pics...

more pics...

More pics... It looks like it has much more growth, but the leaves don't look quite to size, skinny but overall green and no issues really... any ideas to consider now? still wondering if I should repot to a smaller pot to help with drainage

nope. leave that girl be ! id top dress with some castings & call it love. maybe toss down some mycos first. then top dress. or hit with nutes. whatever you're into.

i love some dynagro "mag-pro" and gh "maxi" (the 5-14-15 one). i'll hit with the maxi at 150ppm + my tap. even in amended coco its fine if she's showing certain kinds of distress. you learn to read plants as you get more involved, make some mistakes, and get more time under the lamps.

im not a purest. to be fair. surely there are guys here that have solid advice and know way more about organics than i do. i still mix my own coco like a version of super soil. sometimes when i grow new strains and before i dail in... takes a time or three... i need some nutes here and there. its me clinging to my hydro days. plus i love mag pro. shit is bomb in flower. just a tad. never more than i mention above.

when they small just dont over water. that is imo critical.

sometimes , like when clones are rooting for example, and other times during early veg, the leaves will show yellow. or the plant will have slow growth. or seem to stall.

she's asking for food.

the yellowing at the above mentioned moment the plant is telling you she's growing roots instead of growing tall.

now everything depends on one keen variable... you didnt over-water... cause that stress will cause yellowing too.

i think ur plant is doing way better.
