So I my be growing out some blueberry and I wanna get to the bottom of the hype. So anyone whos grown blueberry..

How blueberry is YOUR blueberry?

Rating system 1-10. 1 being not at all, 10 being totally, 100% blueberry. Here we go. Basically 1 = no blueberry. 10 = total blueberry.

i have mine, its about 4' tall, ive never flowered any of the strain yet, but the buddy i got it from grew one that was about 1' tall, and it came out bomb, id easily give it a 7-8/10

One of em smells like hashy citrus when grown, and fruity pebbles cured, another is like boo berry cereal. Happy either way! ...and these are just crosses from Nirvana.

I've grown out DJ Short Blueberry (circa 2003) and had it come better than I expected. It was a small producer, but had a very nice taste. Not so much like Blueberry's but very sweet with a hint of hash. It's smell was like hot tire almost like a Northern Light's, but tasted much more sweet. She got purple late in flower and looked beautiful in the bag. Potency was an 8 out of 10 while taste was also an 8 out of 10. I was very happy with the results and kept her for about two years unfortunately finally loosing her to a problem that came up.

Just last year I was gifted an old school Blueberry clone from a friend. His friend had given it to him, and his friends uncle had it in clone form for over ten years! I was very happy to recieve it but figured it would be like my previous Blueberry so I just pushed it to the back of my garden and forgot about it as I had three other new strains to play with.

When the crop was done I was amazed to find out the BB clone was far superiour to any of the other plants I had babied with the BB being neglected the most. I can say with all honesty it is the best strain I have ever had or grown to date, being only second to the old road-kill skunk back in '93. It wasn't like my first BB experience at all. It's potency is a good 9 out of 10 and it tastes very sweet and just like Blueberry's. Taste being a solid 10 out of 10. Finishes in 7 weeks, but if left to go to 8 it packs on a bit more weight but gets a slight Skunk smell and taste that takes from it's Blueberry background. Yeild is medium which is good for Blueberry. Everyone who has tried it says it is the best tasting weed they have ever smoked.

I would definetely try BB if you have not yet as I am sure you will be impressed. I would go with DJ Shorts, but I here Dutch Passion's is more Skunky which makes me think it is like my old school cut more so than the DJ, although I have heard of bad leaf mutations and poor potency from DP, so your guess is as good as mine. If you get a good one though you will have a keeper.

I hope that all made sense! I'm a little out of it today.

Why would you think that a cut thats been kept alive for over 10 years would not be something special?

well i have the dj short bb that i got from a friend he has more light than i do so his nuggs look a lot better but this is dj short under 400 watts at day 32 of flower

it has a fruity pebbles smell /taste it seemed to stink more during veg than in flower,maybe its because its right next to some bb/nl that reeks

anyways the only thing i have had an issue with is its height it grew soooo much faster than the bb/nl i have while in veg. almost a foot taller with the same veg time

4. 6 (kind of subtle when you open the jar, but when you squeeze a bud the "berry" smell goes to about a 9)
5. 7 It's very sweet tasting, about 50/50 Blueberry/Earthy flavor.

I had some "BleuBerry" or some such knockoff 3 or 4 years ago.
It turned out real nice buds with 6 or so buzz and 4 or 5 taste/blueness.

I found some c99/bleuBerry seeds I made and found one that was knock down blueberry taste/smell and awsome c99 high but mellower. We lost that clone in hiding from visitors but are trying the seeds we made from them.

It really boils down to space and time. How many generations can we grow out?

I really wondered if the blue hype was only that....but the real flavor is just stupifying.
