IMMEDIATELY I BEGIN TO THINK THE DAYS OF SHARING INFO, ADMIRING GROWS, HELPING FELLOWS GROWERS IS ... NUMBERED!!.... I RECALL THE SAME SENERIO WITH O.G. AND C.W..... IF THIS SITE IS BIG ENOUGH TO ATTRACT ATTENTION IN THIS TINY BIBLEBELT TOWN, THEN IT IS HAS TO BE ON THE BLACKBOARD OF SOME F.B.I. OFFICE ..... TELL ME IM PARONOID ... TELL ME IM SAFE HERE..... Oh, they know. Why would you think they wouldn't? That's why the servers are in the country they are in. That's why no personal info is allowed to be posted. That's why we are expected to have to common sense not to post anything incriminating. Your safety is your responsibility. Don't leave a trail that could indentify you and take whatever procautions ake you feel safer (proxies etc) and you should be safe.

I think most people feel comfortable either way cause we arnt exactly a threat to society , but more then that there are " much bigger fish on the radar" i.e people pushing heroin or paedophiles etc....

But the risk is always there. But isnt that with almost anything you do cause whats completely risk free??

I agree with your premise but if you remember OG the data exchange was incredible. We spoke about things that would curl your hair. The bigger it gets the more experienced growers, sellers, large and small opp guys you get here. We still need to get some real trial experience lawyers on board here at IC. The more people who get in tune with the site the better it becomes.

Remember OG did not go down because of the site it's self. Just like the plant it's self I say about IC Mag " Let it Grow"

I always wonder who in my office is on here at night and who's got a secret garden. But, that's what it's all about - anonymity.

While I've got something going on in my basement, everyone that I know who smokes hears this "I gotta dummy up a bit, been smoking too much lately. Putting it aside for a few months" Target diminishes.

You need to be more worried about the heat and smell from your garden. Sell? DON'T! Tell? NEVER! If you take away their opportunities to bust you, you lose that big ol' target you're talking about. Live like a hermit - it's the safest way to go. If you can't do that, do your best. Buy a bag of schwag to burn with your buddies. Whipping out a big, fat, stinky, ooey gooey nug sets off flags. When you're asked "Where did you get that man???" What are you really going to say to a circle of close friends? I got it from so and so and it's no one you know...? Bullshit, especially when they smell a little fresh dope when they sit on your couch. What happens when they are on their way home that night and get stopped by a pig and busted with a zip of bud? You NEVER know what someone else is going to do in that situation. You can say I'd never roll, why would they? If you're sitting at a table with 3 cops telling you you're about to do 20 years if you don't roll, what would be the outcome of that? Loyalty only runs so deep. I've known people for 15 years - the very people that I started smoking weed with. They don't know and they never will.

My neighbor was busted a while ago. Had a big hydro system setup. Did a little time. What's he doing now? Traffic in and out all day, sitting in front of his house on the phone talking about hookin' up in a crowded city neighborhood. And to top it all off, has a few plants in his backyard - AGAIN... Why do you think he was busted? Probably the same reason 3 other people went to jail that day - STUPIDITY. I saw how he handled his smoke and never told him that I smoke for the above reason.

Watch DEA - one bust leads to another. Just don't give them the opportunity. Pot RARELY ever left my front door and if it did, it was a tiny amount for a camping weekend. They had no opportunity to nab me because I'd never give it to them - that's how people go to jail.

Like my favorite MOD (I'm teasing you Kharma), KG said above, don't leave any trail. Envelopes, distinctive furniture, yards, landmarks etc... Holding onto a bud? Make sure you only get the back of your hand and take off any rings and cover up any tats. Missing a finger? Use the other hand. on and on and on, just like I always ramble... Lot's of little details that are VERY easy to overlook.

All kinds of things you can do to keep safe. But posting online to a server that's hosted in NL is about as low risk as it gets. I felt the same way you do, but then I looked at it a little closer. They'd have to get a warrant to tap your internet connection - how do they get that? Same way they get a warrant to kick your door in. Loose lips. And if they already know that much, why piss around filtering through gigs and gigs pouring through the data on the router at the ISP if they could just come and wake you up in a very unpleasant manner?

Plain and simple, follow the rules and you're golden. Sorry for the long post, but I'm in rare form today...

So who is using a different PROXY? And is it that easy to do? If the fuzz have a warrant for your net can they still get to you if you have a diff proxy?

Seems to me that even if you use a proxy, you're still going to be routed through your ISP which is probably where they'd be watching you. In general, using the proxy would help keep your surfing a little more discreet if the gov't was monitoring international traffic from a specific router that bounces you overseas. But if they wanted to zero in on you specifically, I'd have to think a proxy would be a waste of time. Your info still needs to get to the proxy and the only way to the proxy is though your ISP.

Goto a command prompt and type in tracert www.icmag.com and you'll see where your connection takes you though each router. Use any other address and you'll always see the common routers that your connection uses but the overall path will vary to each different site's location.

But as I also mentioned above, if they've got enough to get a warrant for a wire tap then they've most likely got enough to kick your door in or scan your home with IR.

just because they know about it dosent mean they know your name your grow etc. ive seen people put pics on here with them standing behind there garden...thats just a nono. dont post pics with body parts that are easily recognizeable;i.e. dont use the left tattooed hand to hold a leaf back for the pic.... infact dont put your body in the pics if u can avoid it. i let a toe slip in, been paranoid about it, but NBD...just be careful.
