I don't think it's needed just because of a few annoying users.
I don't think it'd work. I can understand your frustration at some of the loony posts, but ...
- This is a cannabis forum so I don't see how age should be a factor.
- If you're immature and screw around then you'll be banned anyway.
- At ANY discussion group where there is a large amount of people it's only natural that you will get some proportion of people who are idiots/trolls. You won't find any forum/discussion group on the Internet that is free from trolls.
- Drop into icmag chat sometime and you'll see people in their late teens discussing their grows with 50+ year olds as if they were two college friends, which I think is a good example that age really isn't very relevant when it comes to discussion forums.
- We've already seen how there are plenty of whackoes out there who are 30+ but have crazy ideas about the world so how is a 20+ forum going to filter out their nonsense?
- Every subforum at icmag has a general concept ..... 'Tokers Den' is for general topics, 'Breeders Forum' is for breeders etc etc, but a "Late 20s/30s" forum ... what exactly would people talk about???
- ANYBODY of any age will still be able to visit and post at a "Late 20s/30s" forum
- There are probably already too many forums. I personally only visit three or four of them on a regular basis, leaving about 30 or more that I - and most other people here - never visit. And for example sometimes I dont know if I should post in the Strains forum or the Breeders forum because there's so much overlap.

We need to get rid of some of these Forums not add more IMHO. Welcoming displaced members is one thing and I grasp that but do the displaced need a permanent Forum here? No. That's why the OG/CW forum got closed. Do the 20's and 30's need a forum ? No. I don't think the Old Stoners (of which I'm one) need a Forum of their own either.

im in that age group myself. And i guess the main rason I say no are
1. just because there's a forum dedicated to people my age, i'm still not gonna only post in there. I tend to like staying in the growing sections of the site unless i get really bored.
2. aren't we supposed to be a community?
3.trolls and idiots (hope nobody thinks i fit that bill......) are going to sling poo like monkeys.....wherever they want to. A new forum isn't going to keep the shite from stinking.
4. IC doesn't need any more forums IMHO at the moment. The mods seem to address overcrowding and new concepts fairly well (coco growing forums created not too long ago, etc)
there's always the option of starting a 20s/30s thread and see how much attention it draws........

Well considering Maturity has very little to do with age I'm guessing No One Age Group is too mature for the rest of "US". If you're so intent on seperating people into categories I suggest taking Irish's advice and start a thread. Maybe they'll let you check IDs at the door to said thread to weed out the people who don't fit the description.
This is a marijuana cultivation learning forum. The only forums that should be added are ones pertaining to growing. Adding more "off topic" forums is contrary to the sites mission.
