Horse Manure Tea

After an episode of the NOOBS (watering organic soil w/ chlorinated water), i have taken the proper steps to bubble out chloride, and brew tea.

I have seen that many highly recommend EWC, as i assume the 'waste' is neutral and nutritional whereas manures tend to be 'hot', meaning too much soluble nitrogen? (understood correctly?)

IF this is the case i would assume manure may not have a place in tea brew.

IF NOT, i would appreciate any recommended amounts for 1 gal brew.

also have fish emulsion (5-1-1), peace of mind AP (5-5-5), FF GB (6-4-4).
*plan on picking up molasses asap.

are these ratios enough to keep my babies healthy through veg?

thanks IC, keep it green.

ive never used horse shit before so i dont know much about it, but it would be safer imo to compost it first then either add to the soil or make a tea from there on.

My concern with manure from animals that digest celulose is that there are bacteria that help them digest it and its going to be in their poo, makes me think that if its too fresh it might hurt canna since its so high in cellulose and thats what those critters eat.

Just my personal concerns, no basis in fact that I know of.

Hi, make yourself some healthy manure compost. Heres a recipe ive been recommended...

6 parts fresh cow (not steer) manure (if you can get it, older if you can’t),
2 parts horse manure with straw, not wood chips (which deplete the nitrogen in your pile),
1 part bird manure, either chicken or turkey, with feathers and bedding if wood chips are not used.
1 part the cullings from your garden. (green cannabis waste, or comfrey leaves, nettles, or a combination of all 3)

plants are like cannibals as in they have evolved to prefer the profile of there own matter, eg when a plants life cycle has finished the plants matter (leaves, stems, roots) are returned to the earth... ready for the plant to recycle come spring.

Decent compost tea recipe...

2 Liters Compost
1 Cup Molasses
3/4 Cup Kelp Meal or liquid kelp
3/4 Cup Fish Emulsion. Liquid or dry.
3/4 Cup humic acid.
Brew 12 to 24 hours
Apply foliar or soil (add to a water volume of 30 gallons)

Manure should smell earthy and sweet, free from the hot form of nitrogen ammonia, weathering will leach out ammonia naturally... thats why aged poo is prefered.

wow harold great man!

i was planning on using the manure when composting became a part of the program, but was wondering if there was any use in the mean time.

i appreciate the responses all, organics has me all endlessly curious n' shit.

Peace.
