Thanks friends, this is a real tragedy. I don't know how my cousin @dubi is, although his area is not one of the most affected, I hope he is well.
In my case I was very close. I was working in the Ribarroja industrial estate which is right on the Rambla del Poio...
The flood came and swept everything away. Luckily we were in a higher altitude area and the water surrounded us on both sides leaving us isolated and fearing that the water would reach us
I had no news from my family or my friends who were at home, very close to the Turia river.
So we spent the night without light, cut off from communication and surrounded by water that threatened to sweep us away... and the next morning the apocalypse... the water level dropped and we left the factory.
Everyone on the street was disoriented, covered in mud, with a blank look... the images I have experienced these days are indescribable... I am thankful that my family and friends are fine. I only have to regret some material damage from the water... my support to all those who have truly lost everything.
Thanks eveyone for asking and caring, it has been the worst floods we had suffer in Valencia since 1957, and around 95 people is dead and many still missing. Floods didn't affect at the place i live, but hit deadly at villages at the south and the interior.
Damn @el mani i've been thinking a lot about you these 2 days, it must has been a terrible night surrounded by water at the factory knowing nothing about your beloved ones. Hope everyone is ok, and the material damage is not severe at your property. If you need any help please let me know. Hugss!
