HONEY SLIDES...quick and easy!

cooked cook

bake at 420 until nicely toasted
First...the easy recipe:

Sautee 1 gram finely ground cannabis in butter until infused(wait for the smell..you'll know when) and remove from heat.
Add 2 TBL natural comb honey, mix well.
Pour into short glass, cool down until room temp or less, and add 1 more TBL of honey.
Get your favorite spoon, and... Down the hatch.

It's quick, easy, and tasty. No serious cooking skills required to get that medicine delivered ASAP!

and now the blah blah behind the recipe...

I was reading one of the many issues of reefer porn I have around here(sorry, not sure which one, but I'm thinking it was in Heads since they do a lot of music articles) when I saw this small piece on Neil Young. It had to do with the recording of his album "On the Beach". It said that during the lengthy recording sessions, one of the band member's wife used to take a pound of cheap grass, cook it in a big skillet until it smoked, making the whole studio smaell like a pot farm(near quotes from article) and then they'd mix in honey. One of the quotes was something like "you took a couple spoonfulls of this cowshit and you were catatonic. The high was more debilatating than heroin"
Hmm, really? Probably a bit overstated, but I'll try it.
Unlike Neil, I didn't have a pound lying around. But fortunately also unlike Neil, it was good grass, not cheap grass!
So my friend and I set out to replicate this on a smaller scale. We ground up 1 big joint to 2 small joints each...I'm thinking a gram or two total. We just ground it through a metal kitchen strainer. We sauteed this with some butter (maybe 2 TBL)in a small pan just until we started to smell it. We then stirred in about 2 TBL of honey. I chose to use the natural comb honey, just because a friend who's dad kept bees swore that the natural unprocessed honey had it's own euphoria...and besides, it tastes good
We then pulled it off the stove, and poured the still hot mixture into 2 short glasses. We waited for it to cool down a bit, and then stirred in 1 more TBL of honey(just to keep that nice fresh honey taste on top...trying to avoid Neil's "cowshit" taste.)
When it was totally cooled, but still somewhat fluid, we spooned it into our pieholes at a rapid rate. We went and sat down and smoked a bowl. Within an hour, I could definitely feel it kicking in. much more than just the bowl we smoked. The great part was it kept me nicely toasted for about 4 hours. NICE!
Next time around I might even up it to 2 fat Js worth per person.
Quick, easy, tasty, effective. Enjoy!

hi honey!

hi honey!

You don't have to simmer long at all. Pretty much until you smell it. About 5 minutes or so over a low heat. Let us know how it went.

Yeah zep, that's true. Do be generous with the honey. I usually add a little more after it's come off the fire and cooled. Keeps that raw honey flavor right on top.
Also true is that it does pack a wicked buzz. :D

i just used some of my hash oil i made from leaf and stems to make a batch and holy moly... it didnt take long to hit me. my lower back pain has been intense tonight until i forgot about it sometime after the buzz cranked in. the taste wasnt that bad, i think i used plenty of honey this time. the end product tastes like toffee to me. damn i am high right now ~ and it feels so good ~ no body pain !!!! it's been a long time. i have about half a shot glass left and set it in the fridge. i think i'll spread some on toast for breakfast :D i'm about 45 minutes into the buzz now and its full steam ahead ~

NICE!

Yeah Zep, now that sounds good. I'll have to try it with oil.
I too find it works very well for body pains. I dunno about you but for me the buzz lasts for hours.

yeah cook that buzz was a solid three hours. the back pain flared up a little so i took it out of the fridge popped it in the micro for 10 seconds and had a few more spoonfulls. buh bye back pain ~ back is kinda tender but the sharp pains are in the backround. thanks again cooked ~

i have to add this.... instead of using ground up herb i replaced it with homemade hash oil and it turned out awesome.

another addition would have to be adding a generous amount (4 tablespoons) of the finished cannahoneybutter to a blender with ice cream and milk.... inviting a close friend or 2 over for cannashakes and laughing you asses off for a good 3 hours ~

I just finished cooking up a batch of honey slides. I've had a very bad bronchial infection for a few days now, I haven't been able to sleep and I've pulled all the muscles in my neck, stomach, and some in my lower back due to the extreme coughing and hacking. Obviously, smoking is out of the question, and I've made firecrackers before and wanted to try something different. Honey slides seemed like the next best thing. I prepared the honey slides as directed by "cooked cook" using 1 gram of high quality jack herer buds.
I just ingested the potent combination of butter, honey, and herb on a VERY empty stomach. To be honest, the taste is not the most pleasant in the world, but I found the consistency of the mixture to be the hardest part of choking it down. Hopefully this should work as planned...I'll keep you updated.

It's been about an hour since I ingested my honey slide and I'm feeling very nice...not SUPER fried, but def a nice headchange. My sore/strained muscles are feeling very relaxed.
