There really is no REAL dispute.....I said that the solvents seperate the trichs form the plant matter and he said it seperates the oil from the plant matter....
either trichs or oil...it's the same thing, different wording...I used trichs, the form before being dissolved...and he used oil, the form after dissolving.
Then they went off about how only the trich heads are present in the oil....but I'm sure if you leave the solvent long enough(thus disregarding quality) the stems will dissolve as well. But I never spoke on this.
very nice pic by the way....I wouldn't toke it because I dislike chems with a passion(ironically I deal with pharmaceutical chems everyday lol...and that's probably why I dislike smoking them...I have access to msds sheets of all chems and compounds and I have read the side-effects of many.).

First of all Caesar has never made any kind of hash oil, he doesn't understand the process and how it works. One thing in dispute is where the oil comes from when its extracted, he thinks it dissolves the entire trich, I agree that it dissolves the trich head, he thinks that the oil only comes from the head, I know that it comes from the trich head, trich stem, inside the calyx, ect. I've smoked extracted material and it has 0THC at all, none

running butane thru a tube full of whole or uncrushed buds will yield an oil almost solely composed of trike heads. = tastes awesome. almost all of the stalks dont dissolve on a first run of uncrushed material, and neither do any vegetative materials to any noticeable degree. however, crushing material up before running butane thru will give a more thorough extraction in one run, but it will contain weak resins, and also plant materials.. tastes way worse.

But you are agreeing with me that if exposed to the solvent for longer than normal(when desiring top quality) than stalks will dissolve as well, correct?

"but" nothing, i just stated what i believe. if it happens to coincide with things you think are true, thats all good tho.. ~(';')~ i would imagine that the bond between the head and stalk is broken easily by butane, whereas the bond between the stalk and the vegetation its growing on most likely is not so easily compromised by butane. i would put forth the idea that its the much larger weight of the glandular stalked trichome resin ball compared to the stalk it is attached to, that makes it easy to be stripped off by butane so neatly, and also for the same reason quite well with bubblebags and ice.

its cuz you dont get all the oil with one pass. for instance i can run 300 ml of butane thru about 10 grams of weed get approx 1.5 grams back... and then run a little more butane thru after it dries out completely and get another 0.2 or so. almost as nice oil.. but if you ran it thru again right away you wouldnt get that extra yield. if one was to go further and grind that up and rerun it you would get another 0.2 or so of mediocre greeny gunk too. mostly not thc, but still stony enuff.. not that i would ever smoke it.
