Honduras & Golden Tiger

Greetings all, So I've been wanting to give these 2 a try for some time now. I started only 2 of each (reg.) and now they've been vegging for about a month, while I LST'd them in anticipation of a stretch I will need to control. None are indicating sex yet, and probably won't for a few more weeks. Pics 1 / 2 = Hondurans Pic 3 = Golden Tigers :

Considering each strain is a Long-flowering Sativa, I'm hoping both will finish relatively close to each other, hopefully sometime in December @37n. Managing the stretch is my biggest concern, as I've never grown either strain before. I ran some haze-skunks and Sensi's NL5 x Haze many years ago, both stretching a Lot but ended-up manageable even in relatively small spaces, after being LST'd / trained / topped. With Sativas, I tend to go 11/13 directly from seed / clone, using a Full-spectrum150w LED in a 2x2 tent. This simple set-up has been my ''bread n butter'' , keeping me personally-stashed more often than not.😉. Honduras and GT's are an exotic ''side-project'' that hopefully isn't going to be too hard to manage, and finish - properly ... (eventually)🤞

Those are pretty plants. Are you moving them into flowering soon? What kind of soil are you using?😎
Thank You, They are hanging out in a sun-room type environment as I have no other space for them atm. Said area gets good direct sunlight in the Fall so I'm hoping it will be enough to bring 'em on in, Sometime before X-mas. For soil I mixed Happy Frog / FFOF 50/50 with a little perlite added for aeration. Simple and organic, Alaskan Fish emulsion (veg) and Tiger -Bloom / cal-mag for flowering. It's nothing fancy, just a (kiss-method) I've adopted that works well for me. Ph'd water to 6.5 in order to avoid any uptake / lock-out issues.

Thanks for your support and for starting this thread with your ACE plants @Sparkus_Maximus
Feel free to post their development here or in the official thread of each strain
Dubi, Much thanks to you and your fellow-breeders @ace for bringing us these spectacular landrace genetics 👍 . I'm considering pollinating my Honduran Lady (classic-Mexican phenotype?) with either your Congo or G.Tiger. I would like to create a hybrid which will increase the potency / terpene-content of the Honduran, while maintaining her Uplifting Sativa effect, and possibly extend its' duration. I am leaning towards using a Congo male, I see that one of my 4 (reg.) Congo seedlings is "Trifoliate" (3- cotyledons / 3- sets of true leaves) and this pattern is continuing, as the seedling develops. I understand that (generally-speaking) a Trifoliate-specimen could be useful for breeding (?) but I always welcome your expert - advice my friend✨.

Here is my Honduran Girl today, basking in her Southern Exposure😊😎. I topped her initially a few times early on, and tied down her main 2- branches in order to keep a Low-Profile on the plant , and it worked very well for my needs. She is wider than she is tall, and looks to me like the classic Honduran (Green Mexican -Phenotype) that you mentioned in the Honduran posts. I would love to hear your opinion, and anyone else who has experienced this strain.

Pretty plants, ran each hon and gt and loved em both, never tried congo. Only tried a few. GT was cartoony and kinda gangsta feeling, hon was bright and sweet but didnt last long, the combination would be good... id run a branch or two of each for seeds... that and the congo... Happy growing thanks for the show

Hi Sparkus_Maximus if you want to increase potency then to use a Golden Tiger over the Honduras, if you want to improve terpenes better use Congo. We will be able to identify the pheno of your Honduran once she is much more advanced into flowering.

Thank you so much for the feedback @sneezydog Glad you liked Golden Tiger and Honduras :)

Thanks, I'm definitely considering using a G.T. male (if I get one) and I agree, it would increase the potency of the Honduran, while retaining that Sativa uplift

Thanks Dubi! Can't wait to see how many males I get for breeding from those 6- new seedlings 👀
