Hello,
I have a Honda EU3000is generator that I will be using as backup power this winter.
I have never run HID lighting on a generator. I know that startup current is has been the biggest issue for me trying to run higher current draw items.
Anyone here have firsthand experience running HID lighting on the Honda inverter generators?
In the event of a power failure I am hoping to run the following:
Chest freezer
Limited household lighting
LED TV & DVD player
1- 1000watt HPS (12/12)
1-600watt MH (18/6)
Fluorescent lighting totaling 550 watts. (24/0)
I know that the total "running" current draw is within the capability of the generator but I am concerned about headroom for startup current draw.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
FJ
