homebox L and Clones ?

hello to all forum
it is my first grow.
i will buy a homebox L in 1 week.i have bought almost everything.but there is a big problem:

first, i have ONLY one growbox (that is homebox L ).In addition, i have 10 seeds.now my question:

i will grow my all seeds and i will have for example 7 female plants(and 3 male plants).i will have no seeds anymore.i want to continue always growing all the time without seeds.(i want to grow only using female clones )

that is why,i must do clones when my plants going to flowering (to see which ones female )
but it is problem:
i have only one growbox.and when i take clones from my main plants, main plants would be in flowering cycle(12 hours lights ).but my clones would need 24 hours lights (vegging period ).
and I have ONLY one grow box.

what can i do to keep on growing using clones without no more seeds ?

and remember,i have only one growbox .

thank you all. :violin:

well, i think i have 2 options for that situation
1)i can take clone just before harvest.after harvest,i would be able to vegging stage from beginning with my clones.is it true ?
2)i have to buy/make another box for only 1 mother plant .she always must be kept at vegging stage (24 hours light ) all the time.even it may be microbox such as (50cm x 50 x 50cm ).is it true ?
3 )and there is no another way

You can put those clones in stasis for weeks by putting them in a ziplock/tupperware with the stems sitting in water. Put the bags or tupperware in the veggie/crisper area of your fridge. Change out the air and water once a week or so until you have the space to properly clone and root them in your homebox. Heres a how-to you should read up on:

http://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/8933-clones-stasis.html

An easier solution would be to have a clone box so that you can take them out of stasis earlier and have them completely rooted and ready to go in the homebox the day after your plants are harvested, cutting down on the time in between harvest by a few weeks. By using just one box, your not giving yourself much flexibility when it comes to keeping clones.

Hope this helps..

i have an other idea for this.i will keep only a mom always 24 hours light in a seperate microbox.
and i will take clones from the mom after i harvest the plants in homebox.

i use 600 watt hps in 1 metre x 1metre x 2 metre homebox L
but i will use 6400k CFLs in microbox for only one mom that would be always vegging period (24 hours light).
would CFL decrease the product(clones) quality?
should i use MH for mom that would be always 24 hours light ?

CFLs will give you very good cloning material, very short internode spacings, but at the same time if it's too tight, you can move the cfl away to get it a bit stretchier. It's a good choice imo. By the way, I'm not sure if you realise this but it's not written in stone that you have to go 24/0. Probably 15hrs or so is going to keep most strains in veg although more than that doesn't hurt.

Take a look on the micro-growing forum here, there's some cool stealthy designs that will inspire you. Seriously, dudes there are growing in vacuum cleaners and all kindsa shit. Good luck!

Homebox has several sizes of their box as I'm sure you know.

Why not buy a Homebox XS and a HomeBox S for approximately the same amount of money? You will just need to work at making the most efficient machine possible.

Homebox ($170) = $170

Homebox XS($100) + Homebox S ($130) = $230

Prices from cheaphydroponics.com

If you have a veg room and a flower room you could have a perpetual harvest system where you have 2 plants in and 2 plants out every week.

I suppose it all depends on if you are growing for production or self sufficiency.

By the way Homebox makes very high quality products, I have been a happy customer for a few months now.

Good luck sir!

EDIT: no cfl's will not decrease the quality of your clones

if you have a microbox for clones you don't need to keep a mother. you can take clones just before or after switching to 12/12 and root them in the microbox. You can veg them while the "moms" finish flowering. This saves you time in between harvest as the plants will already have nice root systems and ready to be transplanted and flowered under the 600. Then take more clones and repeat.

dude it is great idea for a newbie just like me .
thanks you bro.
but i will put CFLs in my microbox.i thought it for ''vegging moms ''
but with your idea,i will have to use CFL for my clones while they are rooting and vegging.after vegging CFL,i will put them under 600watt hps.
is it ok ?or must use hps or mh for vegging plants?

Use the CFLs for the veg/cloning area as this makes the most sense, you do not need the output of a hid to grow some clones. When you do switch them to the HPS make sure to raise the light though so that you dont over stress the plants when going under the intensity of the HPS.
