Can you believe there was a woman out there that would marry THIS DOUCHE? It's true, and I really didn't think I'd be as excited as I am
I was having trouble coming up with a romantic way to pop the question. My great friend Weird had the fantastic idea to bring her up to NYC and bring her to the Rockefeller Tree. I owe him so much thanks for that one!
The setup was brilliant. My girl HATES NYC, but loves Christmas, weed, and hanging with the FUCKEM crew. So I told her my bro ArtOfMakingFire was having a FUCKEM pot party and that it was gonna be off the hook and that we totally had to go. I went on about how Artie is all baller now and lives like right in the city and I heard you can see "that tree they light up every year" from his spot.
So this afternoon we hopped the train and got into Penn Station right around 6:30. It was MADNESS all around there, soo many people. I've been to NYC a few times, but it was never anything like this. A literal traffic jam of pedestrians for miles. The adventure getting to the tree was fun for sure. EVERYONE seemed to be in a good mood, it was awesome.
We finally arrived and she was all ooo and ahh. There were people EVERYWHERE. She snapped a couple pics, I had ring in hand. After her last pic, I said, "Babe, there's no party." She had this confused look on her face, as if to say, "Huh?"
And that's when I got down on one knee, right in front of hundreds of people. I started getting cheers from everyone around. She starts crying. I say, "So, do you want to marry me?" She nods her head yes emphatically and I quickly get up, trying to nonchalantly wipe tears from my own eyes. It was incredible.
She was sooo surprised, she had no idea. She was so happy. I am so happy.
This chick is great. She's seen me at my best and at my worst. There is not one other person on this earth that I could see myself sharing my time with. When I went to prison, she was the woman every single inmate dreamed of and wished they had. I had fresh books to read every month, always had money on my books, she answered the phone EVERY SINGLE day I called, and she was at every visit. The woman loves me very much and I love her just as much back.
Big big thanks to Weird for helping with the grand idea. Thanks to Artie and my FUCKEM FAM for having a kick ass fake party in Arties pimp apartment overlooking Rockefeller Plaza. I love you guys!
