This clone has survived over 4 years now that I know of, don't know where it came from but she is fun to look at in flowering...and not bad smoke either So the contest sucked but the waves were ridable for me on the biggest days, too bad it was still only a few feet overhead. The reefs make the waves break so much softer if it's small, much better when it's big and firing. I had a good time though, next time I'll bring my own board instead of renting. The people are very friendly I found although you can tell they resent haoles who buy thier land and put up condos and such...everyone in the water was friendly to me, it was small everywhere so the crowds were light and scattered. Got to see a lot of pros and legends walking around the north shore, that was pretty cool. Seeing some of my idols out surfing the same stretch of beach as me.
