Sup Ladies and Gents. I am a new grower staring out with a hydro recirculating drip system. Looking for advice, suggestions etc..
So I currently have a 30 gallon resevoir that I only fill to 8 gallons, seems to be enough water in there. For lights I have a 400W MH system that I use 18/6. Put some mylar up for good reflection and have a fan going for good air. I have 7 Plants at the moment. 2 of them were given to me by a buddy who just threw some seeds in a soil pot and wala! I have no idea what strain they are but i decided to take on them to practice for when i get what i really want. (Practice makes perfect)
. They are about a month old from what he remembers. (He usually has some preeetyy good stuff). I have them in 3 gal plastic pots with the hydroton clay pellet things now and they seemed to have survived the transplant from soil. (3 weeks ago now) I soaked the roots in some solution called "super thrive". I feed them 6 times a day with 3/4 strenght bio grow. At first the leaves started to yellow and curl but they seem to be doing a lot better now, with the exception of the lower leaves which i think is normal.
The other 5 plants, I started from seed. One of my budies was overseas and brought a couple of gifts back. I have no idea what these are either but again, I wanted to practice. They sprouted about 3 weeks ago and i have them in 4in rockwool cubes. I feed them manually with 1/4 strenght bio groom whenever i feel the rockwool is too light. They seem to be doing good also but 2 of them are starting to yellow in the veins. Root structure seems ok too b/c im starting to seem them pop out the cubes. Soo..am i doing everything ok??? Ive read Cervantes' book, Marijuana Horticulture and it is very very good! Lots of info. I change my solution every 3-4 days b/c of a weird slimey substance that just sits on top of the water. I was told to use some solution call ps-90 I dont think its algea but then again i wouldnt know, and it smells like death lol. I changed the solution last nite and added the solution but its still there..
