Himalaya Blue Diesel info?

has anybody grown out any of these beans? the pictures advertised on websites (********) look like a gorgeous blue pheno that is said to have spicy fruity notes and a knockout punch like a heavy diesel


i honestly just want to see how well the blue pheno comes out, as well as some of the grow characteristics. gonna be grown with 2x 400w cmh.

judging by pictures it looks like a good candidate for a sog, one big cola... but thats where i need some help from anybody whos actually grown it. my setup is going to be about 1.75'x3.5'x7' and i hope to stuff in about 6-8 plants

p.s. i just ordered 10regular and the onyx looked to mysterious to not order 5 of the fem seeds..

I think a member going by the name "seedling" has grown this strain, but im not sure. He has commented that it is a true autoflower on the "so called autoflower strain" thread.

Hello..

You are almost right the pike, I havent grown the starin but I am growing it right now. The seeds all germed 9/9 and they all auto flowered as well. Boys showing sex after 14 days (from seed) and the girls about week later all on 24h of light.

The rise, I cant really tell you about the blue pheno. I think the pictures that you talk about are looking more blue then they actually are because of lighting and a bit of Photo shop touch up.... I can post some pictures for you of how mine are looking, I have 2 girls that are 38 days from seed and 2 that are about 20 from seed. The older once are starting to really frost up even though I had big problems with sulfur def and they stoped growing for about a week. That is all fixed now and they are starting to fatten up nicely.

So far there is nothing blue about them but they are really sticky and starting to smell wonderfull, there is still 5 weeks to go for them so they might still turn on the colour in a couple of weeks.

Not growing them at my place so ill post some pics for you as soon as Ive been at the location, probably sunday or something.

I really like what im seeing from the HBD so far, looking way better then my old grow of Diesel Ryders did at 38 days so my hopes for some wicked bud are high.

yeah thanks man thats exactly what i love to see somebody else doing something similar to what i plan to do =) how are these guys on nutrients? you said you had a sulfur def is that because of the potting mix or did you need to add additional sources of sulfur?

id be interested in seeing the real product so keep me updated! i didnt seem to think the blue pheno would be too far fetched since i myself have seen reds pinks purples blacks

what was ur m/f ratio for the 9 that popped?

The sulfur def was because of high temps and a ph that dropped to low. The HBL dont seem to take the nutes to well, need to start them of slowly and then just go a bit higher every time, need some time to get used to it u know.

Have you seen HBLs tha turn purple and red? I havnt heard of anyone growing them so any info you have for me is appreciated as well. Ill keep you posted on the progress, pictures soon to be posted.

hey the rise ive just grown out a few onyx and there a great strain ! the smoke was amazing the most dank stuff ive ever grown to date ! it was covered in trichromes and had an old school skunky aroma i made plenty of f2's to test them further

i think the "blue" refers to the blueberry taste/smell, and not to the color blue.
As the official strain description indicates:
"...Our auto blue himalaya deisel is a hybrid of the ever popular blueberry and an automatic kush strain from nepal ..."

Well i think so to to some extent, but maybe not only a ref to blue in blueberry as blueberry has been known to actually turn on blues hues. Then there is the kush, some phenos of that strain turn on colour aswell... One of my girls is actually starting to go darker, not sure if it will turn in to something but by the looks of it it could be a start of the blue/purple to show. She still has 4/5 weeks to go so im not sure, will update next time I visit the plants..

I did a HBD grow this summer. Two males out of ten. No blue phenos. Perhaps because of higher summer temps(85F). About the same split of phenos you would expect with any AF. The males grew twice as fast as the girls with more branching. Aroma not as pronounced as any non AF Blueberry cross I have ever grown. Dense buds at axials. Grown in organic soil with only H2O and Medina activator in 6x6x9 containers under 125W CFL. 20/4 lighting schedule. Pots were rotated every two days for light coverage. Yields ranged from 15 to 21 g dry. Males were crossed with Short Stuff Auto for my seed bank. Present grow is Russian Rocket Fuel. They seem to be more vigorous in comparison to HBDs. Good Luck.

ive got sum that are 4 weeks into flower, at the moment show no signs of blue but the crystal production is really good

all mine (3 phenos) started going purple towards the end of there lives both indoors and outdoors, outside been the most purple

I grew some of these last year with good results. No blue but these were grown during the warmest part of the year. Great blueberry smell and taste and a strong, mellow high. It has become a favorite.

I'm also interested in this strain as I have been gifted some seeds of this as well as solid bottom, blue streak and an auto ak-47 x nycd x blue streak if anyone can help me out with those strains. This is my first experience with AF, so a new learning curve is about to hit me pretty hard. LOL Good, I was just starting to get all comfortable with everything in my garden....
