Hillary Clinton Pledges to End Medical Marijuana Raids *U.S.'s Second
Largest Cancer Charity Calls for Legal Medical Marijuana Access as
Candidates Weigh Support*

BBSNews 2007-07-17 -- MANCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE (GSMM) - Two prominent
presidential contenders have moved in opposite directions on the issue of
federal attacks on medical marijuana patients, as America's second largest
cancer charity, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, came out strongly for
protection of medical marijuana patients. Democratic frontrunner Sen.
Hillary Clinton (D-NY) called for an end to federal raids in states where
medical use of marijuana is legal, while Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) backtracked
on an earlier promise to end the raids.

During a Manchester campaign on July 13, Len Epstein, a volunteer for
Granite Staters for Medical Marijuana (GSMM), told Sen. Clinton, "Twelve
states allow medical marijuana, but the Bush administration continues to
raid patients," to which she responded, "Yes, I know. It's terrible."
Epstein then asked, "Would you stop the federal raids?" Sen. Clinton
responded firmly, "Yes, I will."

Sorry, can't vote for Hillary. I don't trust her and I'd rather support someone who thinks it should be legalized and the DEA should be disbanded.

its called CAMPAIGNING! i highly doubt someone like Hillary would put that very high on her agenda once in office. Hillary is already known to tailor her answers to the particular crowd she is speaking too.

a vote for Hillary is a vote against Freedom!

Hey Stoneymama.. Question... Who would u vote for if Dr. Ron Paul IS NOT on the Nov. ballot... or is on it as a third party?

I love the good Dr... I am in meetups donated money.. and make posts all over about him... BUT.. I CAN NOT LET A REPUBLICAN WIN.. if its NOT Dr. Paul..

If he does not get the Republican nomination... and I'm trying hard to acheive this.. including changing my registration here in my state so I can participate in the primary.... I will vote for AL SHARPTON if he is on the democratic ticket...

There is NO WAY IN HELL I CAN LIVE THROUGH ANOTHER REPUBLICAN ADMINISTRATION... If its Rudy or Mitt or McCain... they have ALREADY said NO WAY to MMJ.. and RUDY at least is AS EVIL as GWB

Peace..

RESTORE THE REPUBLIC.. Help the cause.. RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT..(R)

If someone can get it on tape, out of her mouth, couldn't we hold her responsible for it?
I could totally see Bill putting a nice fatty between her legs...

Hillary Clinton Pledges to End Medical Marijuana Raids; McCain Flip-Flops

U.S.'s Second Largest Cancer Charity Calls for Legal Medical Marijuana
Access as Candidates Weigh Support

BBSNews 2007-07-17 - MANCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE (GSMM) - Two prominent
presidential contenders have moved in opposite directions on the issue of
federal attacks on medical marijuana patients, as America's second largest
cancer charity, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, came out strongly for
protection of medical marijuana patients. Democratic frontrunner Sen.
Hillary Clinton (D-NY) called for an end to federal raids in states where

raid patients," to which she responded, "Yes, I know. It's terrible."
Epstein then asked, "Would you stop the federal raids?" Sen. Clinton
responded firmly, "Yes, I will."

The following day in Claremont, Sen. McCain held a town hall meeting at
which he was asked about his stance on medical marijuana. When asked in
April about ending the medical marijuana raids, McCain had responded, "I
will let states decide that issue."

But this time, when GSMM campaign manager Stuart Cooper asked Sen. McCain if
he still supported ending the raids, he went into headlong retreat. "Not
yet," he said. "I don't think marijuana is healthy, I don't think that it is
good for people, and there is a large body of medical opinion that says
there is plenty of other medications that are more effective and better and
less damaging to one's health to use to relieve pain. So I will continue to
look at it on your behalf and many other young people who feel very strongly
about it, but right now my answer to you is no."

"Apparently the 'Straight Talk Express' just became the Bob-and-Weave
Express," Cooper said. "In addition to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society,
medical groups such as the American Public Health Association and the
American Nurses Association strongly support protection for medical
marijuana patients, and the presidential candidates should understand that
Americans don't want suffering patients arrested."

I'm not really sure berger, probably any independent or libertarian that makes it on the ballot, barring that, I'd probably stay home. Unless of course Gravel manages to get the Democratic nomination.

I know that I WONT vote for any of the other republican candidates.

Hello all,

I think Hillary would be a a great president especially as the first woman president.

However, I feel she will just continue the status quo of big bussiness/big governement.

Continue with a flawed foriegn policy.

Continue with tax and spend.

I hope a real change...a return to sound principles, less government and a isolationist foriegn policy.

A return to a free market economy..

Gee, I am starting to sound like a Ron Paul ad.

P.S. RP's position is let the states dictate thier drug enforcement policies. As to MMJ....positive position and calls for more FDA to respond to clinical evidence that supports efficacy as a benificial medicne.

Think about this though... and you strike me as a logical person!!

If you DON'T vote for the Dem... whoever it is.. and OF COURSE I hope we are all voting for Dr. Paul... But IF he is NOT the nominee.. then by not voting at all.. or voting 3rd party... you weaken the DEM vote and INCREASE the likelyhood of ANOTHER REPUBLICAN REGIME!! IKES!!
Now of course if you could "tolerate" the Repub nominee that might be different.. but ALL the top tiers have BEEN OPENLY HOSTILE TO MMJ.. and have been DICATORIAL like in demeanor... I am DAMN AFRAID of ANOTHER regime....

So I will HOLD ME NOSE... and cast it for the DEM... god forbid..

RESTORE THE REPUBLIC

VOTE Dr. Ron Paul

ALL Politicians are like drunk guys.
They'll tell you anything to get into your voting pants.
No promises, Action Only.
Also a pro pot pres does NOT equal power to change.
Convince your congress-people.

Dick, generally, I'd agree with you, but Ron Paul has ten terms of voting records and speeches on the house floor that we can compare to what he's telling us and in his case, they actually do match. :D

berger, I see your point, but I really honestly don't think that any republican other than Ron Paul has a chance at winning the general election.

I'll split the difference with you... If Ron Paul doesn't get the nomination and doesn't decide to run as an independent, then I'll wait till 6 and if it looks like the dems are in trouble, then I'll go vote for the (d) candidate. ;)

Stoney Mama.
I do agree with you as well. Ron Paul is the only pol I consider a straight shooter. I've already sent his campaign some scratch. they really need it.

Paul and VP Billionaire Bloomberg? $$$ wouldn't matter then.

PEACE DA

Thanks, Dick! :D I hope you'll be supporting him with your vote in the primaries if you're able. ;)

I agree, Bloomberg could provide some of the much needed cash. The Libertarian candidate for president has already come out in support of Ron Paul too. LOL :jump:

Right in line behind you. ha.
We have to keep Guiliani or Thompson out.
I'm even crossing lines because the Dems are more of the same ole'.
Bush/Clinton/Bush/CLINTON?! That's a might TOO Royal Family-ish for me.
The idea of a first husband is enticing but Mrs. Clinton joined the Dinosaur club after a short stint as a free thinker.

Maybe after we the people get this country back on a sensible track we can hope for a good woman candidate.
Albright???
