hello everyone. ya know, i coulda sworn i did a smoke report on this strain, but when i looked yesterday, i cant freakin find it! is it possible that i never posted that LONGAAAAAASSS smoke report i did? wouldnt be the first! anyways......
i picked HTC skunk because a) ive wanted to run thier gear for quite awhile, and b) this opportunity presented itself just when i was getting ready to do some pollen chucking of my own, and the fact it is an ibl was perfect.
some have said this strains strength is the way she crosses to other strains. well, i will know that for sure in about 3.5 months. i can tell you this strain stands on its own feet jus fine! i was also told she was a good "daytime" smoke, which i usually interpret to mean not that potent, or should i say strong.... she is certainly potent, right to the head.
two phenotypes. as far as aroma and flavor go. i found a few variations in growth pattern, they all ended up pretty much the same. the one pheno that only grew in your typical ganja tree shape had denser, pinier smell and taste. with the astringent quality that brother monk described. what i associate with "mean grean" back in the 80s.
the second, and so far, more likely phenotype, grew about 3 different ways with three different plants, but the buds all had a much sweeter smell and taste to them. i hear people talk down about the sweet skunks from across the pond, but i have never minded sweet tasting herb. now the HTC version is not sweet like fruit, it is more of an old school resiny, stanky, i dont know. and if you were smoking herb in the 70's and 80's, you might not be able to describe this skunk either, but it would sure remind you of that stuff you were smokin back in the day. alright, tomorrow i wake up and see if drunken smoke reports are a good idea! oh shit, the picture.......
