High heart rate after smoking weed

- it's an odd feeling to suddenly become so aware of your heart - can cause alot of stress - unless you get it checked out - and learn to understand why it's missing a beat or beating louder than usual - maybe it's trying to get your attention?
A simple non-invasive test is available when such symptoms are a concern. Talk about it with your doctor.

For those of you worried about this try Peppermint Hawthorn and Valerian which is used to calm the nervous system and also cardivascular system, take just enough before smoking potent weed.... There are no unwanted side affects from this, but your heart will be alot calmer and anxiety reduced to a minimum....

I had racing heavy pumping heart effects as a kid, in my twentys, as an adult. From smoking it with tabaco through a bong, in joints in pipes and from smoking it pure in every kind of way. I also get it from vaping through all devices.

It's a common effect of very potent Cannabis and, in my opinion, has nothing to do with your health "in general". Just take your time when enjoying cannabis and be ready for a unpleasant rocketstart. After 20-30 minutes the rough rushy onset ends and you are floating in space.
It's a drug and drugs come with sideeffects.
I always make sure i can give the rush the attention it needs, otherwise it can get very unpleasant and psychic... If my heart starts pumping, i try to let it happen and dive into it like with psychedelics.

Also very strain dependend. Some strains dont have that overwhelmingness at all. I look for those that dont overwhelm and carry some euphoria, pleasure and sillyness for social situations and keep the challangeing ones for when i'm only with myself.

Make sure that no stranger suddently rings the doorbell and avoid the medusa looks of your wife while beeing fucked up weekdays AM. Works better for me than Rudolph Steiner technics.

Serious topic that needs to be discussed.

Edit: I have to add that i speak for me and not for people with any medical diagnosis!

I'm glad you added that last line about your statements not being for people with any medical diagnosis. Depending on what that diagnosis is can make it very dangerous for something that might elevate your heartrate substantially.

It's good that you mentioned that the effect is strain dependent. Basically the racey effect is only going to come from sativa strains and maybe some sativa dominent hybrids. The think that is making it feel like your heart is racing is the same thing that makes people feel paranoid for no particular reason. Not to be confused with people who feel paranoid because they're doing something that you should rightfully feel a bit paranoid about. Sativa's are known to have cannabinoids in them that cause that paranoia and also tend to lact other cannabinoids that are known to block that paranoia. To avoid that paranoia/racey feeling you want to be smoking Indica or Indica dominent hybrids as Indicas tend to have that cannabinoid that blocks the paranoia and it's likely the same cannabinoid that gives you that kind of narcotic, couch lock body high that Indicas are known for and make them a great choice for insomnia.

I'm also glad you mentioned smoking it pure, by pure I'm guessing you mean concntrated through some form of extraction process where it's mostly just the cannabinoid called THC and the cannabinoids that block the paranoia/racey effect have been removed. It's really nothing to do with how potent the weed is in general because potentcy is mostly based on THC and doesn't account for the cannabinoids that block the paranoia/racey effect. There are very potent Indicas but they won't give you that racey effect they'll just make you drool and/or fall asleep. You're right it is a drug and drugs do have side effects but not everyone experiences side effects because another critical factor is that everyone has their own uniques body chemistry and therefore some will tend to be more sensitive to certain cannabinoids then others.

Perhaps one of the biggestissues that came from the stupid war on drugs and marijuana prohibition based on racial/social prejudices is that it has kept cannabis from being properly researched so that we better understand how all the cannabinoids and also the terepens present in cannabis, there are at least 113 known cannabinoids that can be present in cannabis and I don't know how many different terepenes all of which combine to create the high you feel when you consume cannabis. This lack of research has kept us from fully understanding which strains are best for which situations and it has kept us from fully realizing what strains are best for treating a wide range of medical conditions. Lacking that research has caused people to focus just on the THC as that is the primary source of getting high. Everyone wants the best bang for their buck so everyone shoots for the highest THC content. More recently we've picked up a better understanding of the benefits of another cannabinoid called CBD which is good for it's anti-inflamitory properties and plays a big role in cannabis' efficacy for treating pain. Some strains have more CBD then THC and as a result tend not to get people very high and so those strains don't do well and don't survive on the market. There is a strain that has become known as "Charlotte's Web" it's a strain that is vry low in THC and high in CBD it was about readddy to be pulled from the medical market because few people wanted it because it didn't get them very high. Fortunately a Mother who had a daughter named Chralotte that duffered from hundreds of debiltating seizures each day heard that cannabis might be a good medicine for her daughter (who was like 6 years old at the time) was looking for something with low THC so her daughter woudn't be wasted if it worked. She stumbled across the strain that became Charlott's web and gave it a try. It ended up being like a miricle and allowed her daughter to be able to go seizure free for the first time in her life and live life like a normal child. So she went back to the source told them how well it worked and bought all she could. This told the growers that there was something worth holding onto and so they named it after the girl and marketed it to the medical marijuana market as an effective treatment for seizures. This was years ago and the strain is still around helping countless other children suffering from seizures. Unfortunately Charlotte who had years of daily seizures before discovering this medicine suffered a lot of brain damage and didn't make it, having died a few years later but at least she had a few years of normalcy. The point being that had cannabis been properly studied that trageedy might have been avoided as well as many other diseases such as alzheimers perhaps even cancer might be treatable thru cannabis. Fortunately that's finally changing with the rescheduling of cannabis opening it up to be properly researched rather then being viewed as a dangerous drug with no medical benefits.

I agree with you on every point. I'm just not sure if its sativa or indica dependend. Your point with other cannabinoids/terpenes seems right.
It feels like a general overreaction to THC. Also the connection to the paranoia aspekt is spot on. Thats why it is so similar to psychedelics. If you start to feel traped and/or in an inappropriate situation, the panic spiral goes down.

Countereffects of other cannabinoids are definitively a way to make our Cannabis more enjoyable, i think.
Thats the interesting part, the whole mystery about that active ingredients seem to let us forget that we are dealing with one of the most domesticated plants on the planet. So maybe its more of an tool or a product of our own evolution than a kind of junglemedicine that cures our civilitation sicknesses.

I think we get the most benefit out of it, if everyone would breed his/her own cannabis through selektion of individual desires.
