High CBD Cannatonic Pheno

Hi guys,

Have three plants of Cannatonic from Resin Seeds. Already know that not all Cannatonic are high CBD.

My question is what are the characteristics of that high CBD pheno? The ones that I have are quite similar but one of them is more sativa and a late bloomer than the other two.

I don't have any chance to test this stuff and I would like to keep it for Rick Simpson Oil.

Thanks guys :tiphat:

hey there ptfarmer420, whats the smell on your Cannatonic, i only have one, but its straight orange\tangerine smell, even early in veg, just a little stem rub and the smell is strong, and the buds\resin also have that smell, i haven't tested the smoke yet, i hope it goes in the same line!!
cheers

This cannatonic pheno is the 2:1 cbd to thc. This is at 12 weeks flower. It grows more like a sativa then the kush types that are short and squat. works very well for me.....My lady says it smells like purple and rubber tires

High CBD phenos should be easy to spot, they just relax you and don't get you high...

Harbourside did test 20 odd Cannatonic plants, the ratios were all over the place, the rarest one seemed to be 50/50 but they exist, so just fine out what works for you and help others by sharing this and the others.

Going to check out the smells and later on will tell you something.

My question was to spot her before smoke it. Some phenos have characteristics easy to spot when in flower.

Thanks all for the inputs :tiphat:

Just got an older pack of the reg m/f seeds. Going to make a ton of f2 and crosses.

What's the yield like on these?

In have never heard of any visible traits of Cannatonic, or any other high CBD plants that show low THC or high CBD.

If, for example, you crossed a 15% CBD plant to say Blueberry, then you might guess that the less Blueberry plants might be higher CBD, but otherwise no, IMO..

I don't see how your eyes can tell a high strength cbd/thc ratio. the only way is to have it tested in a lab setting. I doubt even the smoke test alone can tell you a high or medium cbd ratio with out some variation. you could smoke it on a day your really tired and it might put you to sleep. the next day you might be wired from a good day of work (lol) or fishing, and it will effect you a bit differently.

there is a cannatonic4 (maby the hp cut) that's been tested at 25:1.

I just grew out a Cannatonic x Sour Tsunami pheno via daviallian cannaseur at elite cannabis that he tested at 27% CBD and 9% THC. Finished smell was SUPER orange-citrus, very distinct. buds were dense and hard, bulked up quick and slowed down towards the end of flowering, when i thought it was not growing anymore i realized the buds were actually becoming denser and harder, growing inside themselves rather than growinng "out" and getting bigger.

I grabbed up SOHUMs cannatonicXtsunami, super excited for her. She was second at the emerald cup for highest CBD. Can't wait to get a few of the breeding projects outta the way, to start popping these

Tall claims...how about some accountability here?

People like to say things and no one likes to show a little evidence (photographs of a plant are not equal to a chemical analysis- we aren't growing these things like rose plants)

Some lab results?

Here is one report of the publicly available 'ACDC' cut which does not exceed 16% CBD on the shelf in Oregon to my observation of about 50 menu's (well my sample does :chin:).

I believe the pheno you refer to is located here on the flowers menu:

https://www.leafly.com/dispensary-info/prog-collective/menu

Notice; 20% CBD and 9% THC by one of the better labs in the state.
