HID Hut bulbs vs. hortilux

So it's time for me to buy some new bulbs. HID Hut has their own brand of hps bulbs, the 600W is $35, and they claim it's just as good as a hortilux. Anyone have any experience?

I'm leaning towards just buying the hortilux like usual.

Don't skimp on bulbs... You can buy 3 cheap ones or 1 quality one.I have purchased 6 . 4 burned out very early ,2 ran bright as any bulb (as well as my eye can tell) till they got tossed due to age. This was a couple years ago when they first opened, and dont know if how they are today. What I can say is customer service is A++. When first two bulbs burned out he credited me right away. No questions asked. Any-hoo ,if you can afford to id reccoment sylvania grolux for the best all around bulb ,it or ge's version both are good "cheap bulbs" better than hortilux,imo, although twice as much as hidhut's. I figure they are tried and true bulbs and will save the trouble or replacing prematurly. All 6 bulbs had become black on the inside, never seen this before.

Fuck hid hut, they screwed me out of 5k. They wont take back shit they sell to you even if you never used it. They make bullshit claims about their products and dont stand behind their them. The owner is a fuckwad.

Damn customer service must have gone downhill. Obviously his stuff is from China, produced cheaply. Just got a sunlight Supply bulb and it seems to have a nice spectrum and was only $65. I have learned (by trial and error,and observation) to never buy bottom line if tying to save money, buy middle of the line, with some things you get quality but it costs more, also performs better and has to be replaced less often.Some things are better to spluge on. Anyway please dont buy hid hut bulbs if you can avoid it

Depends on the ballast, don't use hortilux in digis (Ushio is good.) If analog the daylight blue MH has the best spectrum I've seen, not only more blue but more 660nm red than their Super HPS! I'm getting better quality off the MH bulbs too, more purpling and better nute uptake. Kinda weird.

plantlightinghydroponics.com has some of the best bulb prices Ive seen. MDhydro isn't bad either, especially since they upgraded their website (now dchydro.com).
