Sampled a high THCV strain called Pink Boost Goddess a couple weeks ago from a northern California dispensary. It purportedly contains >5% THCV. The effects were interesting. It started out as typical Indica/sativa body and head high for the first 30 minutes or so then, instead of becoming increasingly narcotic (as I've come to expect from dispensary weed), it started becoming more clearheaded and the body high dissipated. The primary effect for the next hour and half or so was mental stimulation in an introspective sort of way. For example, got caught up thinking about an old road trip to see the Grateful Dead in Ritchfield Ohio in 1993. Show got cancelled because of a snowstorm. Started vividly remembering trying to outrace the snowstorm (not easy in a VW bus) and hearing on the radio that the exists on the Pennsylvania turnpike were closing behind us. Ended up sleeping in the indoor pool area of a Holliday Inn whose managers were nice enough to open up the doors to those of us "camping" in the parking lot. Crazy story that I hadn't thought about in over 20 years. The mental stimulation and the trip down memory were enjoyable. I did not, however, feel the physical stimualtion that I was expecting based on reviews of high THCV strains. By physical stimulation, I mean that slightly elevated heart rate and pulsing energy you get in your limbs that drive you to physical activity (as in some good sativas). The physical activity (in a way) helps contain the energy and sometimes you can enter a flow state and go on a ride where strenuous or complex activity can be more easily performed. The high was also very clean. It just faded away, with no comedown or hangover.
Curious of the effects high THCV strains hashad on others. Overall, it was enjoyable, but not quite what I expected
