plz check my 4 plants they r 4months old and have had all kind of bad things happening em( i had to leave em for vacation... anuway check em out COMMENT so i can ask u all the things i want...
how long into flower are they?
the last pic doesnt look to bad but the first one does is the bud dryed out...how long were they left for?
have they dried out?(soil)
looks like it cud be a number of things...as much details as poss please so i can try and help u out...peacce
well i think u have two options
1. you carry on and mess around with these plants
2. you can rip them out and take wot little weed there is on these plants, then start again!!
i think option 2. is ur best bet these plants have been seriously stressed and im surprised they havent hermied(unless they already have)...can u get some closer up shots of the plants and the buds..thanks
u think eh? th thing is they r still growing pistillates..... like lots of em. the thing is that the lower plant grows pistllates that drie at aprox. 2.5-3mm from the grow tip the upper bigger one- the one thats growing the looooong buds, is getting protected by its leaves and is currently producing many Loong pistillates.
but for some reason they seem to be ultrasensitive to the hps... the sides of the buds facing the lamp seems to hav a harder time growing than the "shaded sides"...
can somebody make a RRRRRROOOOOUHGLY gram Estimate ? ? ?
i ll get some closer pics...
as for the tent i bought from a nearby store. do u think somebody can grow nice weed
in it or will it have little light? (nice compared to an artificially lighted)
dont know i have seen some people that tent there plants with plastic sheets. It would be cool if it worked cause no one could see your plants under there outside.
Greekguy - There's quite a bit of info that you haven't provided yet. For instance, if you could inform us of the following conditions:
1. What type of soil mix are you using?
2. What nutrients have you used, if any? Please be specific
3. What is the PH of the water/feedings that you have been giving them?
4. How far away from the tops of your plants are your light?
5. How many watts are you lights?
6. Is the brown spots/dead leaf material limited to the tops of the plants or is it mainly near the bottom? Also, where did this condition first appear?
7. How often are you watering now?
The grapefruit is a long flowering mostly sativa strain if memory serves me. You could probably let them go a while longer to let buds develop more but Female Seeds have a tendency to go hermaphroditic more often than not. If you know how to identify a "hermie" plant, then keep a watchful eye on those and if you do see any male flowers starting to form . . . chop them babies down and enjoy what bud you have BEFORE the plant can pollenate itself.
Also, you need to tie those tops up so they stand upright and can get the benefit of the light you are giving them. Additionally, remove any dead plant matter immediately! In fact, if you want your upper buds to swell with growth, then you should remove the LOWER THIRD of ALL plant matter. This means lower unproductive branches and all leaves. This focuses the plants growth hormones to the tops of the plant where you want them to be.
If the plants have not been fed recently, I would do so within the next watering or two. My initial reaction to seeing the brown spotting was that your plants have a magnesium deficiency. However, it could be burn from heat buildup as well but it NEVER hurts to give them a bit more magnesium as cannabis is a "magnesium HOG", especially during flower. You can add 1/2 teaspoon of epsom salts per gallon of water and this will give the plant the mag that it's screaming for. Just be sure to put the epsom salts in a cup or two of HOT water to dissolve it BEFORE adding it to the rest of your water/nutrients.
We could be a lot more helpful to you if you could answer the questions at the top of this post. Hope this helps and best of luck.
