Hi guys, need some advice on how to start please

Hi guys,
I've decided I want to start growing for myself and need some advice. I don't know wat I'm doing but iv been reading a lot here. I'd like to grow just 2 or three plants in a closet for myself. I'm not really good with tools and stuff so I want to keep it really simple.
I've been thinking about getting a digital greenhouse 250 W Ballast kit from HTG supply. I'm hoping I could just set that up in my closet and grow a few plants. would that work???

If you are not good with tools, why would you buy a ballast kit, which requires assembly, which requires tools?

There are a lot of good threads on this site dealing with closet grows. Use the search function and you should be able to learn everything you need to know. Setting up a closet grow is a tad more complicated than plugging in a light and watering your plants. You need to deal with heat, ventilation, odor - all sorts of fun stuff.

by the kit I meant the one that come with everything ready to plug in...

When i started my first grow i also was on this site reading and reading so many ways to grow that i ended up confused. I would recomend finding a grow thread or 2 that is similar to what you want to do and learn from a couple sources vs trying to read everything on this site!!
I started with a kit i purchased on e-bay and like you are saying it was plug and play. The kit i purchased also had a DVD on how to. I decided to skip this since i was alreadey an expert from what i read on here...I wish i would have stuck to the basics. I think for a first grow a kit like this isnt a bad idea just get it and start growing!!

When choosing what to grow my opinion would be to chose a seed that is easy to grow in the conditions you are going to grow in vs the "dankiest" most expensive ones...
