Heroe's Salute For Last Remaining 9/11 Search Dog

Bretagne, the last remaining 9/11 search dog was euthanized at the ripe old age of 16. Sounds like she had a fulfilling life.

It was touching to see her local FD line up to say goodbye. Our four legged friends don't get enough praise for all they do.

It is sad but in a way I thought it was a happy ending. This dog led one hell of a life and made it all the way to 16! I'm glad that when her time came she was able to be put down with respect and dignity.
