well if nothing in your grow changed and you had a light leak from the beginning, that would explain it, if you had problematic things from the beginning that "havent changed" then that would completely explain it...
if you have everythign dialed in as far as temps, lighting, other stress inducing factors... then that would be a bit more odd
but maybe if you describe your grow room/situation a bit better that would help
my appologies. I am growing in a metal storage cabinet....
sealed. Vented hood. (4) 1 3/4 in passive intake holes (with the light sheild, and its against a wall) 1 4" general exhaust fan (light sheilded)
400 w mh/hps, mylar, fox farm nutes/soil
1 jamaican seed, 1 unknown indica
here are some pics. I had 2 sativas in there, but the thinkin it turned hermie on me I yanked it. its drying even though its no where near mature enough...but I'll smoke it anyways for my efforts.
cabinet before plants
cabinet with flowering plants before I yanked the hermie.....(even though it was too late)
just turn on the lights in the cab and turn off the lights outside. if you can see the lights inside the cab then you have light leaks. simple as that.
make sure to take some tweezers and remove the bananas.... also make sure you dont rub or drop the bananas when you remove them, that should help if theyre still on your plant, or next time if you cloned it and are looking to do another round.
were the seeds from a reliable source ??, given what u have said sounds more like the seed was the problem id say the jamaican seed could be prone to hermie due to its source , seed of mass produced cannabis is usually unreliable and the seed would be due to unwanted pollenation , more likely from hermies .....
be careful the seed made from the hermie pollen doesnt just produce more hermies ,, dont rely on them as a main grow , perhaps more a hobby grow to see what happens ..
Thanks for all your help everyone! yeah I have figured that its just from the seeds I used. The seeds came back from holiday with me from Jamaica-and I don't know where the indica came from.
Im gonna wait until this batch is completely finished until I throw m Jack herer Clones in there.
Has anyone grown Skunk #1?A friend gave me a pack of 14 from seedsdirect.to
Im sure it STINKS real bad, but other than that has anyone had any troubles with it?
Hermie prone bagseed is not a new growers friend despite what many say,I feel I'm in the correct minority.A person with no history of growing has no business growing from a seed with no history, its not the blind leading the blind more like the blind blindly growing, blinds blinds venetian blinds. You have the right idea, grow a strain with a written history and get verbal assistance from folks growing the same strain.
