HERMI Situation, Need Advice?

Situation:
I have 6 plants currently going in my NEW Homebox tent. FYI:Very happy w/ Tent! 2 plants are at week 9 flower and the other 4 went in the box on Dec. 25th, so week 2.

Problem:
Now I just noticed today on one of the plants that is almost ready to harvest that some of the lower branches had seeds forming. Then I looked closer and found some open pollen sacks underneath the buds, near the stems. UPPER BUDS/Bigger buds, appear to not be forming seeds or pollen sacks. Also, It appears that the other plant that is about to harvest does NOT have any seeds forming yet and I don't see any nanners on that one. These two plants are seeds from the same mother and are two completely different looking plants.

Concerns/Questions:
It is too late to pluck the nanners off, as they are already open and I see some pollen on the leaves near by. Should I just cut the entire branches off a week early and stop the seeds from finishing, while getting the pollen out of my setup??? Or should I harvest the entire plant? Just started flushing 3 days ago w/ Clearex. Planned to water two more times w/ Clearex before chop.

:cuss: VERY NOT HAPPY AT THIS TIME, the plant w/ pollen is the better looking buds of the two. And all the clones that I moved in on Christmas day are clones off these two moms. I have 8 more clones from these two moms vegging right now, just waiting to get into my HOMEBOX.

What to do??? Help is appreciated! Cut all, Cut lower branches or do nothing???

THANKS,
DRKN_MNKY420

FYI: do not have a current thread for this grow!

uhhh, why risk pollinating the rest of the plants by ripping out a few nanners that already did the "harm" they will do?

just treat them as normal and don't worry about it.

I got a hashberry that hermies every time, I still love it.

I completely agree, but like I said, I have 4 new ones 2 weeks in and they are just showing preflowers, I don't want those ones to be completely infested with seeds. I don't mind one or two buds on the bottom w/ seeds, just don't want the whole plant to be producing them.

Thanks for your input.

Shit dude I would keep the pollen bro you might want to make some feminized seeds in the future with that strain I have a similar problem I just found a nanner on a girl in week 7 on a bottom popcorn nug and hope thats all that I get but I plan to take the pollen from it for a breeding project since it took a lot of stressing with light leaks and 13/11 schedule

I like the way you think Thundurkel, but unfortunately I forgot to mention that these seeds that started all these plants, came from a hermied girl that pollenated the plant next to her. So I already have a bunch of femi seeds. So far all seeds have popped female.

I also know that lots of growers are trying to induce hermi plants for breeding purposes, but I on the other hand am NOT! These plants are sold already! Got downpayments, then the final weight will determine how much more these plants go for.

UPDATE: I also was closely inspecting the non hermied girl I mentioned in the first post and I found two sets of nanners on that one too. Looks like this is a genetic trait in the strain I am growing.

THanks for stopping by and all replies are appreciated!

I guess what I was saying was, if it isn't already fully seeded then the pollen is just chillin where it landed. Messing with it could spread it around.

Hey mexilandrace, I see what you are saying, and thanks for the input.

I will post some pics tomorrow when my laptop is up and running again.

I have been doing some investigating on this Hermi thing. I noticed that the nanners seem to be growing only on the very bottom buds. I am considering just taking all the infected buds off the plant until these two finish (10-14 days).

Any input on this idea would be great!!!

Also, why are the nanners only on the bottom lower/smaller buds? I am pleased that this is only happening on the bottom considering what could happen. I will get some pics tomorrow, so you can relate better. Anyone else have this similar situation???
I think it is genetic, but maybe I am doing something to cause this?

You might get lucky here since the others are just starting to flower out.

I would not rip/cut them I would harvest the whole plant. I would get a garbage bag and put it over the plant gently and remove the plant when you harvest it, just in case any other sacks decide to open. Do you know how many you have of these? Like do they look like nanners or more of pollen sacks, I know you said you have them, but I am trying to find out possibly how long ago they formed.

Any disturbance to the plant and even breathing on it the wrong way it can cause pollen to float round stick on something else and later if wind blows by it just by walking or means of fans it can pollinate parts of your plant depending on the amount in the air/growroom.

So I would harvest the whole thing and not worry about the lower parts, it's just popcorn buds most likely anyways......
