Hermaphroditism

What can cause Hermaphroditism?

there have been some threads on this issue but i decided to make a fresh one
to recollect a few ideas and hopefully summarize some knowledge about it.

the main fact is that cannabis is a natural hermaphrodit and that clear male of female
is the result of phenotypical selection as i understood it.
now some may know that a good breeder spreads out his genetics as large as possible
to stress the plants with light poisonings for example to find one very stable girl.
this girl then in some cases may be treated with colloidal silver or other chemicals
to multiply its genetics without inducing unwanted traits.

such a female is not easy to find but can be done as it was written somewhere i read up
with any cannabis cultivar all it needs is time and patience.
but unfortunately many genetics are being treated carelessly and hermie plants
are being bread to soon passing on the unwanted traits to further breedings
which causes plants to herm on the slightest occurrence of stress.
several known strains contain such genetics and even those plants
may only contain very few male flowers they still can fuck up ones crop

what i want to find out is what causes stress and how it can be avoided
that means i am not lecturing here i am actually asking for help...
as written above light poisoning can be one issue and maybe also heat,
nutrients i guess? i read up that too much nitrogen specifically during flowering
can be the cause of it.. maybe also cutting off branches during flowering?

any other thoughts and ideas are welcome

following nanner i detected recently and plucked off, it thankfully was so far the only one.

but i noticed that since i have moved to another flat, my herm rates went up
almost every plant is showing signs..some almost not others very severe..
that can also be coincidental since at around the same time i switched to different fertilizers.
now that may also be the cause of cheap genetics but even with a bit more expensive strains
i had such unwanted encounterings.. i usually have a good hand with plants
so keep wondering and researching and wondering etc...

#1 cause of herms: genetics. Herms breed herms. #2 cause of herms: biotic/abiotic stress. Its likely genetic if widespread early in flower. Herms from stress tend to happen after repeated stress exposure, not from simply switching nutes. Unless you're getting repeated light leak during your dark cycle or your environment is swinging all over the place id venture to guess your plants are are genetically prone.
