was wondering, if u stress a female to herm, and she polinates herself and produces seeds, can u use those seeds that the herm produced? and will they be herm or fem?

Some will be fem some will be herm,there's no real way to know until you do it.A better process that soma loves to take credit for is to collect the "female" pollen from a plant gone over her flowering period and pollenate a 100% female clone that you know for a fact has zero male tendencies.Do this and you are much less likely to get herms and to get true female plants

ahh, thanks ballastman. what about 'selfing'? what is it? just herming a plant and using the seeds it produces? cuz i got all fem blueberries and i wanna know how i can get some seeds to keep em goin so i dont gotta spend 150 bucks online for a 10 pack lol.

Well I had some stressed herm seeds from a berry blaster.... too much heat.
every single one was a female. although they all did pop out some nanners the last few weeks.

wait so, im confusedl if i herm a plant and it seeds itself i can use those seeds and they will be fem?

I have a casey jones hermie right now... I was thinking of cutting her done today but she is full of hairs! with a few nuts... but I decided to keep her in there and pick at her as much as I can before I hurt health.
good to know the seeds i may find can be used. My question is, does a hermie spread pollen like a male? I dont mind a few other seeds but if this thing starts spitting out pollen like a full blown male, it will be bad.... very bad... I would say its 20-30% male, the rest female
instead of stressing the plant into hermi seeding why not read up on creating S1 seeds

I'd take care thinking that your going to get a female every time from a herm seed,your gonna be surprised lol!You will get females,you'll get females that make nanners towards the end and you'll get full blown herms,you're not going to get females always wish it were that easy.Seed companies take time and care producing feminized seed and they are only 90% reliable normally.You got lucky dead stoned,and you could be lucky again,or not.Someone on OG took 20 seeds froma herm plant and grew them out,he had several females,females with nanners,and full blown herms.It may be worth it to some to grow these seeds out,it isn't to me.

OG had a lot of information, but I could also see a fem seed hater do this project and lie his ass off, although I never doubt the possibility. OG was full of people like that, I loved OG but at the same time I hate all the shit, stuck up pot snobs, crazy kush people; it was just unrealistic. No one should intentionally stress to a hermie, I think this thread is more for those with a hermie, and thoughts on what to do with it, make use of it.
It is just nice to know something good can come out of it.... give the beans to a friend or something...

this i also know lol... i was just making the point that yes a hermed plant will produce a few females not as many as regular breeding but it does and if you are VERY VERY CAREFUL you can pull it off... its just a lot of luck mixed with a little bit of knowhow.

Just don't use those seeds to breed with and pass the hermi trait along to others. keep them for personal grows and smoke..
