Herbal Shamanist or Weirdo?

Shamanism is interesting stuff, supposedly a lot of the knowledge behind goes back thousands of years.

I saw a documentary called Munay Ki: Healing The Luminous and it showed a little bit of the rites they have to receive before they can be a true shaman.

To many those terms are probably synonymous.

I'm not including myself but just be prepared.

Does anybody remember Carlos Castaneda?

couldn't get through the 2nd paragraph, I'm quite pleased to lay claim, "it's beyond my comprehension."

This guy is a Herbalist Shaman , says there are spirits attached to all plants and he has a slave. Weird.....

Nope, nothing weird in there. Teacher-plants are used by many communities around the world. Ayahuasca, Psilocybe, Amanitas, Iboga, Datura, Peyote, Tobacco and Cannabis as well are all entheogens/teacher-plants.

real shamens dont need to do rites.. unless they involve entheogens..

Shamanism (such as it is generally understood) doesn't necessarily involves the use of entheogenic plants, and yes, there are rites. You don't connect with the spiritual worlds through internet...

weirdo does not even begin to correctly describe this over-the-top charlatan.

I haven't read the text actually, what I meant is that there is nothing weird with the concept of teacher plants in shamanism.
