Here is a pic of the worst affected plant on the entire garden. A ox f2 grown from seed that I made. This is at 63 days. Probably will yeild about an eighth. In the process of chopping the rest. Any opinions on which this could be ? Hrm or broad ?

looks bad... not sure which one in particuluar, if you can scope them well that is the best way to id them for sure.
i use a carson z orb digital usb microscope camera.... it's just barely strong enough to see HRMs, not sure about broads, can't say i've ever for sure seen one on my plants with the carson z orb.
funny because those ox f2's i have growing in veg fought off the spider mites better than most of the other strains....

i suggest you watch out for HRM & broad damage early on at the apical growth tips... ime they will look mangled and curled slighty before the infestation is really out of hand like in your pic.
the very top of plants, just the freshest growing tips will look yellowed/browned slightly. node spacing shrinks.

also, seaf0ur gave me a lil bottle of some Kontos.... i havent used it, but probably should have weeks ago, but its systemic chem.... and i'm trying to keep it all clean and organic.

I've been using the big time exterminator with good success.
i already mentioned that big time changed their solution and labeles a few times now, and some people have roasted their plants by over dosing with big time extrerrminator, so be careful, i've been spraying at 30 to 50 ml with the clear/ millky looking solution. apparenty the darker rumy looking solution is more concentrated and should be used at lower rates even, from what i'm told. both bottles i bought are the "older, lower dose" solution; has been working well, definitely killing the spider mites that are giving me problems as we as any remnants of any hrm infestation.
i got the BTE to treat outdoor plants for hemp russets, had no spiders outside.

Thanks avi, like I mentioned earlier, I did not treat my bloom room at all during the cycle. I did bleach clean the tent and treat the plants lightly before I flipped last time. I am really bumming ! My boy that works at the grow store in summit said he has never heard of anyone that has totally eliminated mites. Thinking about destroying every plant and restarting from seed. That would put me about 3 months behind. I just don't want to go that route if they are going to come back anyway.

I have another question : does/will bleach kill these on contact ? I have been cleaning my veg cabs with pure bleach and am hoping it is a contact killer. I would assume so ,just because of how corrosive it is . planning on treating my flower tent with repeated bleach sprays (on all gear in tent too), followed by a couple of the strongest bombs I can find . also will be removing the carpeting from entire house, going to hardwood. I have a sinking feeling even after all of this. At some point they will try to return. From what I have read once they are in your environment, you will likely always have em , I doubt even moving would really solve the problem, as their eggs can get everywhere... Clothes, phones, remotes, bong , pretty much any and every surface in your home could possibly have eggs, also once established ,they will live in your grass and stuff outside your home , likely riding in at some point on your shoes . even if you shut down and move they can travel with you. The best approach might be to have a plan for when they do come /return. I have always took great pride in being able to say my garden was "hospital clean" . I have always taken every precaution possible and I got em, you can too. Just be ready they are coming for your shit

The only thing I have seen work on broad's up here in WA is Avid, neem for ovicide, assloads of predator mites and essential oil blends. Mostly I'd attribute it to the trans-laminar miticide in there unless you're really starting small with the predator mites. Broads are no joke.

Forbid works, but is fairly phytotoxic and nasty. Avinash.Miles would know this battle well. You're in good hands.

Oh the memories!
Yes4, happy to hear it's not Russet mites you're dealing with.
As for me, I shut down for a few weeks. Bombed the room a few times, hung a hot shot pest strip and spayed bleach like I've never sprayed before.
Happy to say they're gone. Just finished a run 100% bug free. Haven't been able to say that for a while, I mean not one fungus gnat, not one thrip, nothing!

Another pic, this of a Sour Bubble leaf. Pissed I never got to flower those girls out.

hey tree, what did you bomb with ? thanks for the contributions ! I followed your lead ; tossed everything but the lights and fans. about to bomb/sterilize. wondered what products you used, besides bleach. I have heard the no pest strips dont fade the hrm at all ? Ive given em a try anyway.

hrm or broad ?

hrm or broad ?

well , they got the best of me ... the veg plants I had been treating and had hoped to save all fell prey to these lil beasties. So yesterday, with a very heavy heart I threw out EVERYTHING ; all plants, all of my grow cabs and even my grow tent. I DID save the expensive stuff like lights and fans, but tossed everything else. I have spent literally hundreds of hours on the net researching these creatures on every type of site imaginable. I am planning to restart from seed , However first want to be sure that my environment is as sterilized from these things as possible. Been looking into some heavy bombs; pylon, attain ,big time exterminator, doc doom etc. I need suggestions on what will actually work. I have read about others using pylon... it says on the manufacturers site it says for green house only ie not indoors in your home. Please help out, I just dont want to waste time and money. Here is a few pics of a leaf i removed just before trashing. I believe these are broads

Wondering about Ortho Household bug barrier . Main ingredient is Bifenthrin.. Would this work on my houseplants ? what about using it on the walls and gear ?

Spectracide Triazicide is a contact killer that I have used to clean walls, trays, tables, cords. It works on plants as well, but can be deadly to plants, and jack them up really bad. Never used it as a foliar, only a root drench.

Has anyone used Conserve SC or Aza+(plus), or a lime sulphur spray to treat these little punks, have been reading elsewhere some people have been having luck with them. Also say a post somewhere about coconut trees in India getting hit hard with HRM they injected a thing called Eco Neem Plus not available in the US but is Neem with a very highly concentrated formula of Azadirachtin?
link to article from India

I havent seen a answer to this yet.. The conserve sc seemed to work very well for some folks over at the farm, would like to hear more for sure, please post if anyone around here has tried this stuff

I have also used spinosad quite a bit azad. However conserve is much much more concentrated. Conserve is over 11 percent spinosad, montery spinosad is less than 1 percent spinosad.

russet mites

russet mites

I want to start off by saying in no way am I an expert.

If you want to kill russet mites or control their population down to less then 10% I would recommend this form of treatment. It is organic and I have used it on two grows now dealing with these bastards.

It is important to ph your solution after mixing to 5.8 to 6.0. A major boost in kill would be to add ice to your solution. Russet mites hate extreme cold or heat. You will not see a difference until about day 2 or 3. They, will not be moving or act very very eradic.

Day 1

60 MLS a gallon of Big time Exterminator. Be carefully that it's not the new formula which is 3X more powerful

Day 2

60 ml of big time exterminator

Day 3

Either mycotrol or botanigard at 10 MLS a gallon. Mycotrol is OMRI CERT. botanigard is not but they are the same solution from the same company.

Day 4

Nothing. Plant recovery

Day 5

Big time exterminator 60 ml a gallon

Day 6

Mycotrol or botanigard at 10 MLS agallon.

AFTER DAY SIX SPRAY EVERY OTHER DAY FOR A WEEK. AFTER THAT ONCE EVER 3 DAYS ALTERNATE BOTH PRODUCTS
I hope this helps anyone who tries it

holy shit! 3 doses of ogbiowar got rid of um for me, dont kill yourself in the war with the bugs! I mean poison is cool, just make sure you take proper precautions, and dont get to rubbin your stems or touching your plants a week later then wonder why you got some weird shit.

i would suggest NOT using any neem products, instead try wettable sulfur (safer brand garden fungicide worked for me).
avid will probably kill them, floramite doesn't.
i've been using and suggesting people use 91% iso at 1 oz (30mL) per gallon of water to kill bugs, hrm's included
