Help with my strain selection

Hey all! After growing out green hazexmeao thai this year I have become faithful to ace seeds and have decided to stick with ace for next year.

I live at 25-26* lat and I have heavy rain until november. I have suffered a ton of mold losses (other strains) this year. I have realized this year that I need a strain that does not start flowing until sept or so to avoid mold just like green hazexthai. The only problem with using the same strain is I want to grow feminized this year and it is not offered.

What would be a good alternative? I'm a gorilla so I'm looking for an easy to grow strain that won't turn into gray crap as soon as the buds get meaty.

I was thinking Guawi or Panama.

my vote would be guawi based on the guatemalan dad,,, since it is a pretty damn wet place,,, and it says "excellent mold resistence" on the description :),,

Malawi, green haze x chitral, purplehaze x chitral. golden tiger not feminized though
also nevs haze and mango haze from mr nice would suit your conditions
have a play with a few different sativa crosses you will find time and personal experiance to be your best teacher

:tiphat: all the best

You need a pure extreme sativa, like your last year's hazeXthai. A strain with very late and long flowering. I don't see an extreme sativa like that in ace's current feminized offerings. My honest opinion. Maybe choose regular seeds again..
The regulars I would choose from would be purple hazexthai, green hazexthai, double thai.

Panama is very mold resistant also, very few problems outdoors, you won't be sorry.

thanks for the replies everyone!

I might end up getting two strains and playing it out. I don't feel comfortable with more then 4 monster plants.

stone- while I put some serious thought into growing some green haze x thai F2s i'm making, I don't know if I can bear growing them out for 6+ months to find out their males again. This year two of the biggest plants I have ever grown turned out to be males. I'm talking 7.5 ft. multicola monsters that three people could touch finger tips around. Really disappointing, now it looks like I'm only gonna get about a lb from 4 hazexthai i have in pots.

regardless I learned alot this season, (3rd year) and really think next year will be a very smooth operation. That's why I'm wanting to go fem, just keep it simple and increase my odds for success. I could always plant alot of seeds, but by the time they show sex I would worry about that many huge plants being spotted from the air.

Welcome Good karma :) Im glad you enjoyed the green haze thai .... this kind of tropical sativas are very resistant against rains, wet weather and mold. And the high and old school aromas are very special ;)

We dont offer fem versions of our most tropical sativas strains cos the female ratios are usually very high (around 2/3 or more are females) and usually growers want to use this kind of tropical plants to produce their own hybrids and seeds. But i understand your dissapointment when your bigger outdoor plants became males.

Our friends around gave you great strain recommendations for your next outdoor grow.

Early flowering mold resistant sativas: Bangi Haze, Nepalese Jam, Congo, Panama, Guawi, Tikal.

Late flowering mold resistant sativas: Haze Thai, Double Thai, Golden Tiger, Oldtimer's Haze, malawi.

Pakistan Chitral Kush it's a pure indica but very mold resistant, the haze x pck limited editions would work great in your subtropical latitude.

Please, let us know if you have any doubt!
