hello everybody this is basically my first post but i need some help.im a week into flowering and i have the plants in about 1.5 gallon pots. I am feeding with biogrow and bloom at 1:1 liter. A couple weeks before preflowers i burned them pretty bad with the grow(not purposely) so some of the leaves are very in the middle of the plant. On the bottom there turning a pale yellow and and falling off. on the top it looks like a DULL green with no healthly luster to it. i dont know if i should flush, feed or what.could i get some help...also i could send a pic but i only got a camera phone ..thanks

if you are that worried flush, then flush again then water with a very diluted nute concentration or just leave them in the soil after the flush with no nutes to recover for a few days

I have a couple kill bills went into flower recently that were slightly N deficient and more of a lime green than my other hearty strains.

I'm 30 days into flower now and with regular feedings they picked up and darkened in nicely and look as good as the others. So, there's hope.

A picture is worth... a lot of stoned words, or something.

is it yellowing only on bottom leaves?
ussually yellowing that starts on the bottom and works it way up from leaf set to leaf set is indicative of defenciency not over ferting. nitrogen is most likely culpret

I haven't really ever burned my plants from nutes but my understanding is they burn all over. Having never seen anything other than defs first hand I could be way off.

thanks for all the input, yes its yellowing on the bottom but its looks like its creeping up the plants slowly...i thought about adding more fert but didnt want to burn again...after i burned them in the first .5 gallon container i transplanted into happy frog in the 1.5 and they were doing good...the temp is 84 humidity is 43...im in a hydro hut mini with one rotating fan.....the leaves on the top are doing kinda a claw downward i dunno imma try and send a pic....

How long did you veg the plants? 1.5 gallon container they could be root bound. Sounds like it from your description.

I forgot the casue of the downward claws (cat claws) it was either PH or to much N. I don't remember which though.

i veg in the .5gallon(i think) until i burned them which was about 2 weeks from preflower....then put them in the 1.5...they are about 2 ft tall...i really dont want to transplant but i might if the problem continues...heres a couple pics.....sry bout the size......ill try to resize

Certainly could be signs of being rootbound. I water my Mango every couple of days and I see the roots when the top of the soil gets displaced. It was too far along for it to have done any good transplanting in my opinion. In your case, I would guess it could only benefit your plant. I just know that if I could do this grow over again, I would have gone up another size. If you are watering more, it would stand to reason that feeding time is coming around faster. Like my marriage counselor said,"Give her some space". :pointlaug

yea..my roots show at the top of the soil and there are roots comming out the bottom.....i hate to transplant but i think the plants maybe out growing the pot.....yea i just dont wanna mess up the flowering cause its just now getting decent pistols...ive watered with epsom salt too cause i thought it was mag but hasnt seemed to work....

Only a week in, you will be fine to transplant. Good things can still come from doing it at this point in flowering.

Yeah if you got roots poking out top and bottom, you need to transplant, it will stress more being rootbound, than the shock of a transplant.

These pics are better for sure, looks like you do have a calcium def. going on. Keep using Epsom Salts, or next time use some crushed dolomite lime in your soil, that will help. Cal-Mag also will help.

what is the medium your are transplanting into?
does it already come amended?
I'd let the roots spread out for 36-48 hours and then hit them with ferts if its an inert medium-add some cal mag to the intial watering of the new medium to cover that base as well
good luck

took more shots of my roots and top i think it may be rootbound i dunno but only the 1st inch of soil was dry the rest was pretty moist..i could be overwatering but im going to the hydro lady....i was going to transplant in HF soil and yea its "amended" with lime, worm castings, guano.....yea i dunno about the biogrow and bloom?im a lil suspicious of the bio crap..i might need to try another bloom/grow fert....i keep mines in a cardboard box room temp...

that looks pretty rootbound to me, I never let my roots get that tight
not saying to do this so wait till someone else chimes in, but if I saw that I would repot and score or loosen the shit out of the roots so they won't continue to ball up like that.

I haven't ever screwed with roots in flower, it would likely stunt them to do any root maintenence.
