help with flowerin sativas

my sativa grow is flowerin, all the plants minus a few have been sexed, and the males are startin to hang low(the nuts/balls are droopin)

looks like the males will start to drop pollen pretty soon. do the males continue to flower for weeks on end or do they finish out much quicker than the females?

expected to have more time to clone all the plants, didnt expect the plants to start flowerin for some time yet. they have been under 12/12 from sprout and are 49 t0 35 days from sprout, have been showin sex now for over a week.(haze,CB,panamared)

will be takin cuts off the females this eve. hopefully the males flower for sometime as I would like to get a large amout stored.

Hey bro. Got any pics?? The males, if left unchecked to do their thing will produce their balls, drop all of their pollen, and die. They will produce new balls for a short period of time, but due to it's role in nature once it's produced all of its pollen, it's job is done. The males generally show first, drop their pollen and die while the females are still producing flowers and producing seed from it's now pollinated flowers. At least that is the case with my outdoor Indica I grow. Good luck. Peace. TJ

About half way down the first page, he has pics of males that he took off plant and just stuck in a glass of water. They continued to drop pollen onto a glass table, which then he scooped up and put in fridge. Pollinate when ready.

hey Joe, thanks for the input, Im understandin that, but thes plants are 13 to 16 week finishers, I was wonderin if the males were gonna flower for 4 or 5 weeks or what, if there like hybrids, then they wont be producin very long.

thanks HOG, im just wonderin how long the males will continue to flower. is a OHaze male gonna make pollen for a longer period of time than a hybrid. will I be able to colect pollen for weeks on end

CBF, not sure about your strain. HOG, TexasKid, Caprichoso and Badmf are guys that can tell you pretty much anything you want to know, among others. You may try and hit some of these guys up in PM and ask them some questions. Not to mention, our chatroom is a good place to ask for and trade info. You can get "real time" answers to most of your questions there. There is also a lot of playful B.S going on in there too...It's a good place to go and meet peeps, laugh a little and learn a little. seems these landrace and haze should make pollen for 5 to 7 weeks. wow so loads of pollen to collect. also was wonderin if it takes a sativa seed longer than the 4wks normally, to ripen?

I know the males are much harder to regen after a good flowering.Try to take cuts as early in flowering as possible and keep under 24 hours .If you get the females to root even after flowering is well underway they will put out shoot directly out of the buds that start with singles and progressively increase all the way to full-on veg growth.
Males always want to kick the bucket if I let them go long.I always keep a copy under 24.

Hey ,my Haze X Blueberry ripen quite fast on that sativa plant.By 4 weeks they are well tigerstriped.It's about a 12 week Haze that is extremely hazey in growth and flowers.The calaxes get huge quick once pollinated.
