HELP with FAN & FILTER!

The best way to fix your situation is to PULL the air thru the filter rather than PUSHING it. Most PC fans have almost NO capability to push air thru a filter. You will need to re-arrange it so that the filter is on the intake side of the fan rather than the exhaust.

It would be more apporipate to get a centrifugal fan of some sort. I use a kitchen rangehood, because it has a centrifugal fan, 3 speed switch and is dirt cheap second hand.

Kiwiboy,

While I agree that a centrifugal fan might be BETTER than the PC fan he is using, I think in his case the easiest thing to do to improve the functionality of what he's got already is to turn the fan around and pull thru the filter. I would think that a centrifugal fan would be overkill for a mesh pencilholder scrubber, don't you??
