Hello there i have a 60 days lemon in dwc of 12 lt running for 2 weeks. I use tap water and i just started the AN grow program, with 10 ml Sensi Grow A + B, 5 ml Voodo Juice, 5 ml Piranha, 5 ml Tarantula and 5 ml B52 in a 12 lt reservoir. My temps and humidity are in the normal range, the water temp is around 22 -23 celcius and ph ranges from 6.2 to 7 which i control it with ph down. On Sunday I started the feeding program i mention above at those ratios and yesterday i saw change in the colour of the roots. Pls any help will be appreciated, here are some photos, the top of the plant looks gr8. Also i didn't notice any weird smells just those of the AN nutrient, especially the B52. Thnx a lot

Hello. Welcome to the world of dwc. I haven't posted on here in a while and have been running dwc (current culture) for 2.5 years now and love it. I keep my water temps at 67f and advise you to never let your water temps get above 68f. Pathogens can spread fast with higher temps. Also your ph is a tad high. I would say stay between 5.5-6.0 and monitor regularly. The roots should be white or close to it. At the stage your in I like to keep the ppm around 300 and gradually increase as the root zone enlarges and the crown actually forms. Hopefully this helps

I am currently running my first DWC with the General Hydroponics trio of nutrients (Micro,Grow, and Bloom). Grow and bloom are light green and pink in the bottles, but Micro is a deep maroon color and always stains my roots a brownish color. Early on I had my temps get up to 21-22+ and I had a case of root rot which is also brown but was accompanied by a slime on the roots. After I got my temps under control, I cleaned everything with H2O2 and then treated with Hydroguard a few days later, and everything cleared up. Also at the higher temps there is less dissolved oxygen available to the roots which is the DWC equivalent of "overwatering" you'll know this if you have droopy plants.

Same as Cleetus I would run my PH around 5.5-5.6 at the res change and let it drift upwards from there. Also if your PPM is around 110+ on your tap water you may not need a CalMag supplement. My tap is really low ppm (60-70) and I symptoms of either a calcium or magnesium deficiency early in veg. I added CaliMagic at 50% and have had no more issues.

I can't tell from the pics if you have a top feed system, but that might be an upgrade worth looking into. It's simply a pump that sits in your res and pumps to a diverter to a small (mine is 3/16") line that goes in the side of each net pots and provides extra nute water to the roots in the hydroton and the roots hanging above the water line. I have heard some people say that it's a pointless extra component, but it seemed to help my plants grow faster in early veg before a good rootball could form in the res. Also I have heard that it becomes less important once the roots get bigger, but later in veg water levels drop a lot faster as there are more leaves to evaporate water. I was out of town for five days my first week in flower, and the water levels dropped 15-18L in a 54L res. The top feed system helped offset that water level drop. There are pros and cons but I am going to keep mine on the next grow.

If you search Amazon for "DIG AD6 6 Outlet 20 GPH per outlet Adjustable Drip Manifold" you can see the type of diverted that I use. The water pump pumps out a 1/2" line which I bought a threaded adaptor that goes into the bottom center. Then I use 3 or the six outlets to supply my three net pots. I pushed the supply lines in 2" or so, as high as possible in the side of the net pots near my root base but not so close that it drowns the seedlings.
