Help with drainage

Wasn't sure where to put this thread. I need ideas of what to use to raise my pots 2" off the ground to keep the water flowing. I had to put a carpet in my grow tent to keep the container from sucking up the cold from the concrete floors. I was thinking of buying 5" square tupperware containers and drilling holes in them. I don't want them deeper than 2-3". This will be fairly expensive option though. Anyone have any ideas for cheap drainage? I thought about going to buy some fencing and bending it to what I need. That just seems like a lot of work for nothing.

Thanks to a helpful member I was given the info to look for egg crate lighting panels. Just wanted to posted this in case anyone else was looking for drainage help.

I use the lighting panels [Home Depot]. Easy to cut. I used 3/4" PVC pipe, cut to size and made individual planks for each pot. I put corks in the ends of the pipe sections [2 per plank, 3 for bigger containers] so they wouldn't become habitat. Used cable ties to attach grate to pipe. Spent $23 on a Bucket Vac wet/dry vac. You can get quaintities of corks from Widgetco.com. Size 8 works for 3/4" pipe.

I didn't make a large one for the stall because you'll break the grate if you step on it unless it's flat on the floor. Had to be able to step into my stalls. Water runs thru container, Bucket Vac takes care of runoff. Good luck. -granger

I'm surprised nobody has said 2" rigid foamboard yet. You get the insulation value of not drawing cold from the concrete slab and also the 2" height that you are looking for. Rigid foamboard is sturdy enough that it will bear the weight of individual pots but you need to keep in mind that the foam will eventually break down over time from the light from your HID. I would get the foil faced variety from any of the big box stores or even your local guys if that's an option and then wrap the perimeter in white duct tape or the nice foil tape. When cutting this stuff to size do it outside or somewhere where you don't mind making a mess from all the foam crumblies that are bound to happen.

Funny you mention foam board used to use it in my tents and now in my room, only I cover it in panda plastic. White reflection and easy to wipe up, you can even angle it so all water drains to one side.
