i was having condensation problems in my tent so built a room with insulation and drywall. i am running 2k in 2 circles 24 plants total average 4 ft tall. lights are vert in cool tubes(no venting i use the heat to keep the room warm). i run my lights 8 at night to 8 in the morning. outside temps lows of 30-40 at night.daytime high of 50-60 average humidity 30 to 40% except when it rains which is rare.i am running co2 so its a sealed room. i have problem with condensation around the walls and my charcoal filter(only used to clean the smell and circulate the air) i also have an oscilating fan to circulate air. when the lights come on its so humid my glasses fog up. Do i need to run ventilation during the off hours? is that the problem? am i missing some thing?this is my first room i thought it was simpler with a room doesnt seem like it.Any insight or in put is greatly appreciated.

also proper ventilation, not only because of humidity issues but also to bring in fresh co2 for the plants

You need a dehumidifier. Are you in a basement? Good luck. -granger

Listen to Granger.

Also high humidity is going to effect how efficiently your Charcoal Filter will function, but I believe your RH has to be above 70% before you will see problems. Also read some where that it reduces the life of the carbon. Anyway as Granger said you need a dehumidifier.

I am running. A sealed room. With co2 so ventilation when lights are on is going to suck out all my co2.I picked up a used Dehumidifier but apparently it doesn't work. No water I. The. Tank after 12 hours and major. Condensation. Taking it back to get another. For now im using my portable AC to pull the moisture out works ok but can't keep. It warm now.I'm 22 days. Till harvest so mold is a big consern

Lil tip/secret not many folks know.....

Plants eat CO2 during lights on , and shit out what they didn`t use/metabolize along with excess plant transpiration/RH during lights off , so by using exhaust fans on thermostats to maintain a 10 degree variable between lights on/off temps , a little known solution to condensation and possibility of late bloomage air-born nasties forming is nipped in the bud so to speak.....

Plants do not eat CO2 lights off so getting rid of it along with excess RH kills 2 birds with 1 stone......Keeping room temps within that 10 degree variable lights on/off also contributes to condensation prevention....anyways...

Good luck...DHF....:ying:....

Ok so I added ventilation during the night cycle. And I'm still having humidity issues so I picked up a Dehumidifier that sort of works except it makes it hot way to hot.I think if I air cool
My lights it might even out. I don't get it outside humidity is usually around. 25 to 30%. Yet it's still 90% I. My room.

Humidity spikes during lights out in a sealed room is always an issue. The only way to deal with that is a dehumidifier. Period. I run a mini split AC AND a dehumidifier. At night the humidity rises which kicks on the dehumidifier, which heats up the air enough tho cause the AC to kick on, which in turn further brings down the humidity. The two systems work together.
Venting the room at night won't do squat unless the air is being replaced with dry air.

So I hooked my lights up to a blower pulling air from the garage through the lights and out a vent in my garage so far the Dehumidifier is keeping it comfortable warm. But not. Hot humidity is 45%
I guess we will see.I have my temp controller set to keep the temp around 80 plus or minus. 3 degrees

Ok so now the ducting I'm using to cool my lights is covered in condensation .I am going to insulate the ducting and see if that solves The problem
