HELP Why Do 1 of My Seedlings look SO Sick ?

Hey guys my friend has 2 ww female seedlings, there almost 2 and a half weeks from seed, they sprouted only 1 day apart. One looks very stout and healty, but the other one has very curved leaves and i see a small brown spot on one leave, and there is also a tiny purple spot on the top were growth is coming out of. I will post pics, hopefully we can get her back in shape, thanks for the help in advanced. ps here are pics, side by side shots, pics of the good baby girl, and pics of the unhealthy lookin baby girl.

also btw, he has them in foxfarm ocean forest organic soil, and is using 60 watts of cfl about 2 inches away from the babys

*NEWBIE ADVICE*

the drooping leaves seem to me, maybe a problem with over watering/under watering maybe give us a little more information on your grow so that some of the more experienced growers could help you out

GOOD LUCK

Make sure you have good drainage in the bottom of the cups you are using,. No nutes till you get a set of true leaves. Carefull of heat and overwatering when they are young.

the temps in the pc box were they reside are 80 degress, they have 2 pc fan for exhaust at top, and one pc fan for intake in the middle. How much should i be watering them ? Ive been doing it every other day, and misting tops if nessisacry, my room is very dry. So the tops dry out easily.

Probably every 3 or 4 days, use your finger and stick it in the soil, if the soil is moist at your fingertip wait another day to water. You want the soil to get a bit dry to get O2 to the roots. It's best to pick up your cups before and after watering to feel the weight diffrence, aftre a while you wont need to stick your finger in the soil, just pick up the cups and feel the weight.
I would give the seedlings about a 1/4 cup of water. That should be enough to get a good coverage under the surface and get them roots to growing.

thanks for the help dirt south and t-rex, i watered the babies and cut bigger holes, Im also gona start using the watering schedule as listed, ill update u guys on how the baby is doin tomorrow with pics, do u think the watering will fix the wilting plant ? or are the leaves that are wilting just gona die, but all new growth is fine, also im seeing purple show up alot on one plant, is this ok ?

usually if they are nice and green but wilted down, thats a sign of over watering, if you let the soil dry out a bit they will perk up. Just keep an eye on the other leaves and watch how they react. Purple is fine, some strains have purple stems and other colors, no worries there.

What i usually do is i water the plant until the cup is slightly heavy but still is light as i pick it up. You wont want the cup too heavy or else you're going to stunt its growth, however you dont want it to light either as that would make your plants really sickly looking. Then the next day i poke my singers underneath the holes and check the moisture of the soil... is the bottoms are still moist then i let it go for a day. The NEXT day i do the same thing and if its dry i water again. Hope this helps. Just keep your eyes on them, dont forget they exist and keep the soil moist but not soaking wet. :)

CFL's put out more heat than normal flouros, you need a bit more distance between the lights and the seedlings.
