hey all. You have been so helpful so far. This is my current obstacle that I am sure is on the rise to everyone else. My apartment building just installed "smart meters" and I am already on my second chance.( Dumb house fire :p) I am thinking of having two 3x3 hydro huts side by side flowering two different strains. Both run with a 600 watt lamp in each. I want to plug both units into one timing unit that plugs into one outlet. When one hut runs it's 12 hour period I plan on the timer switching the other unit on to run its 12 hour period. Showing a continuos flow on that circuit which could be anything. No red flags. Keeping the mother under t5's about 15 hrs/day. How does this sound to y'all ?

thanyou

You're talking about a flip-flop, do a search on the site. You go to search and then goto advanced, then search for titles only.

thanks everyone. cannabislocator yeah it makes me nervous but I figure if you do it safe and cover all the angles it shouldn't matter where you are growing. I dont know what I would do without this place. Almost as good as OG!

420, I dont really understand what that guy is doing? Why cant I just run the two lamps on one timer that has multiple setting options?

A flip flop runs 2 bulbs separately in increments using 1 ballast and 1 timer. Meaning one bulb goes off the other bulb comes on with a shared ballast.

Are you wanting to run 2 bulbs, 2 ballasts on 1 timer in 12 hr increments? I havent seen a timer that would do that, but it doesnt mean there isnt one and I'd bet a flip flop would be cheaper.
