I was hoping that someone might give me a few ideas regarding my planned purchase and installation of a 4-camera video monitoring system. The basic features I value most are below, ease of use and quality/reliability come above the need for an affordable price tag. I would prefer not to spend too much more than $500-$600.
Anybody have first hand experience???
1.) 4 x outdoor / weather resistant cameras
2.) wireless operation of cameras and communication with DVR device
3.) network capabilities allowing smartphone / iPad accessibility and control of cameras in historical and real time.
4.) motion detection triggers
5.) LED night vision enhanced cameras (not critical as I will likely have flood-lights on motion detectors also
6.) high capacity DVR storage / memory (also not critical but nice to have)
I hope that this is not asking the world for my price range...regardless, if what I described is more like a 1500 system please don't hesitate to point it out, it's tough to put a price tag on a signicantly reduced probability of breakin.
