Help, Need Diagnosis. Good Pics.

Thanks for having a look. These are outdoor medical plants belonging to a friend who asked me what I thought the problem might be.

They are in roots organic soil (20 bgs per plant) in raised beds. I was hoping someone would recognize this symptom; Yellowing new growth from the inside toward the leaf tips.

Thanks,

BTW, my first thought was that it is just new growth, but the yellow does seem a bit extreme and my friend is more than a little concerned.

Thanks again,

Looks like a possible salt buildup. How often do you feed? I remember having something similar and after laying off the ferts it seemed to go away. Good luck.

Looks like it could be MG deficiency. It could be a few things, I’m just stating what it looks like to me.
It would help to know what nutrients your friend is using, and in what strengths, to get a better idea.

I wish I knew more of the details myself, I just got this info and took pictures last evening. He is using metanaturals and he recently started his flowering regimen.

He has hard water from a well, but has had no signs of problems yet this season.

The problem seems to be showing first/most on the plants that get the first/most morning sun. This lends some credence to the idea that he may be over-feeding and pushing the plants to hard, though there is no sign of nute burn or serious leaf curl.

I have recommended that he A)back off the nutes, B)water a bit less(I thought he was overdoing it a little, C)Judiciously add a mineral supplement /cal-mag??/ D)check his ph in his water and soil.

Any further thoughts from the community are greatly appreciated.

The yellowing of leaves from back to front, and the way they seem to be drooping noticeably in the pics.. I bet it could just be a matter of letting them dry out better between waterings.

Johnny suggested a kelp foliar, and I concur.. That'll green them right up if it is a macro deficiency

epsom salt foliar can be used for some micros as well..

I would suggest he check the ph of water, and runoff. Curb his watering, and if not offering a good micro nutrient(cal./sulfur/mag.), to do so.

But I'm really thinking it's over-watering which is just now starting to cause him some issues.. If he just started his flowering nutrient, he probably transplanted recently as well... Most people soak the shit out of their transplants, and well thats what ya get..

Get the rundown from him,as far as temps, regimens ph, and all that.. Even adjusting things such as humidity/temps if not ideal can do a lot for the plants.

Sulfur and/or iron defic (kinda similar) or not enough or too much change in night/day temp.
It's called DIF (for differencial).
I think cold days, warm nights (or just too swift a change) bring it on more than warm days, cool nights (which is usually the normal environment).
